We never got around to creating this but seeing as the season unofficially starts Sunday Night, we probably should create an opening post.

The Clash is currently under snow watch as it may be delayed due to the mid-latitude bomb cyclone expected to hit the Carolinas this weekend. Saturday's events have been postponed to Sunday.

Postponed to Monday now.

Move it back to L.A. so I can watch it :sly: (never mind the issue that L.A. would be underwater again if they came).

Well, they are racing in 35 degree weather at the Mad House. And it's sleeting so this is just a crazy race.

And true to NASCAR they change channels so you can't watch entire race way to go Fox. Whoever is making contracts must be at top of NASCAR they don't understand that fans don't want to search around trying to find race we want to watch it.

They had a hard stop at the end even after extending it an hour.

I used to be very hard on Preece; for the longest time, I was his #1 hater because this dude didn't do jack in the Cup series. After last year, however, I think the only year I can give him crap for is 2023 with the still (reasonably intact) Stewart-Haas Racing and I'm pretty excited to see what he and that team will do for 2026.

(I will still never forgive this dude for throwing away what would've been the easiest win of his life at that one Martinsville race in 2023 where NO ONE could pass).

First round qualifying is underway and we already have the two open cars locked in:
#67 Corey Heim
#40 Justin Allgaier.

After 2nd round of Qualifying, 2 drivers have clinched their starting spots:
#8 Kyle Busch
#19 Chase Briscoe.

Rest of the 41 starting spots will be determined tomorrow night.
