Toyota wins another race. Hamlin wins his 3rd in a row.
Oh, dang. Was this the Pocono race? I’m still recovering from watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans and totally forgot this was happening today. I love Pocono. Such a unique track.

As usual I'm like surely, SURELY this finally has to be Hamlin's year doesn't it? He's NASCAR's Dani Pedrosa, the guy who's been excelling all his career but never quite won the big title. I used to hate him, but in recent years and listening to his podcast sometimes I like him a lot more. What he went through in the off season, losing his Dad in a house fire, it's seriously impressive how high his performance level has been and I think he's retiring at the end of '27 too, so two more chances to get the elusive title - I'm kinda willing him on these days.

It was his last year until that horrendous call like 5 miles from his first championship :indiff:

But hey, if Sir Lewis Hamilton can finally win a race with Ferrari, and with this new format benefiting guys like him who are consistent as hell, maybe this year can be his year :sly:

P25 and P28 are secure in the championship if they keep Austin Dillon and bring in Noah Gragson or Austin Hill 🔥🔥🔥

Too bad for RCR that the win-and-you're-in format is dead. Now Dillon can't use his random Richmond win for a P16 minimum points finish.

A couple for SVG next

I can hear the practice fir the Navy 250 from my house. Bummed I can’t go to the race this weekend!

Na. Sister’s getting married this weekend. Headed out of town in a couple hours. I’ll be watching it for sure though! Next year!!

I'm not sure they will be back at this configuration. At least not the trucks. 2 trucks won't even run a qualifying lap while 2 more through the first qualifying session are also going to a backup truck.

Pros of this course: A lot of passing and action due to drivers not knowing the course.
Cons of this course: Anything involving cautions. The race already has 4 caution laps built in which is roughly 25 minutes added to the race for no reason. Stage cautions do not make sense here. The 75 lap race on Sunday WILL take over 4 hours at minimum. Its a technical and challenging track but if there is a track they shouldn't do stage cautions, it is this one.

Imagine having all the funding in the world that could actually take you places if you bothered applying yourself and instead choosing to start nonsense with a driver way better then you...for last.

I like to believe Gragson does apply himself and he's just bad full-stop. Those overpowered JRM cars masked his deficiencies in 22 (and still lost to Gibbs 3-to-1) and he hasn't done jack since. His FRM teammates have WALKED him going on two years now.

Seriously! Dude was fighting for P99! Against KMAG, another non-NASCAR guy like SVG who realized NASCAR was his true calling all along and destroyed him after he brake checked him for like the millionth time :indiff:
