First Steve and now Louise

A real legend of UK motorsport coverage, like Steve Ryder, ana ever present in my motorsport upbringing, getting into F1 in 1997 at the same time she joined ITV coverage and as a stalwhart watcher of BTCC she's always been a part of the coverage I have watched. She has always been very like-able and I think that's true from the drivers perspective as well, they always seem to have a lot of time and respect for her and that's something that is earned.

To be honest it was cruel to let Ricky have his moment and then take it away again. Anyone watching that race knew he was getting a penalty either for pushing Sutton off or for the restart shenanigans or both, so it's not a surprise to have seen the result changed and Cammish promoted to race winner. So Ingram wins Races 1 & 2
Excelr8 would have rounded off a disappointing season with a cleansweep if not for Ricky Collard's antics on the 2nd safety car restart.
Oh, Ricky....
Not a surprise at all, but I do agree they should have acted upon it sooner, rather than later, because they didn't just keep Ricky in the dark over it, they did that to everyone, even if those watching the race could already see it coming. To be honest it was cruel to let Ricky have his moment and then take it away again. At least he got his moment-in-the-sun, at the time. For his sponsors too - which is more important if he's looking for funding for next season, which i expect he is given his issues this season. Not a surprise at all, but I do agree they should have acted upon it sooner, rather than later, because they didn't just keep Ricky in the dark over it, they did that to everyone, even if those watching the race could already see it coming.
Every cloud has a silver lining....At least he got his moment-in-the-sun, at the time. For his sponsors too - which is more important if he's looking for funding for next season, which i expect he is given his issues this season.
The win may not show in the history books but he has got to experience it.
Both incidents were questionable, the second more than the first, so i don't think the overturn in results would have come as any surprise.
Noah Young joins Team Vertu for 2027. Becoming the youngest driver to contest a full BTCC season.
Moffat was 16 when he debuted.
