20M credit limit is a good thing maybe

That's kind of what I meant when I said it was a design oversight; GT5P didn't have tuning or maintenance costs, you just had to buy the car and that was all so 20 million worked fine there, especially as there was only one car that expensive. Now we have three and three more that cost 10 million plus, with tuning costs, or even changing the paint if you want before you take it out for a drive. Therefore, it's an oversight; one they forgot to change from GT5P.
Except the credit cap and the most expensive car in Prologue were 2 million cr, and not 20 million. Therefore I think someone set this limit deliberately.

I agree as far that in Prologue, money was not so much of an object because there simply weren't so many things you needed credits for. Nonetheless, it is my opinion that a credit cap at the rate of being able to buy the most expensive car makes very little sense in any Gran Turismo.

People just don't like spending everything they have. Noone does in real life, so noone does in the game. Also, this devalues playing the game even more in my opinion, because when I hit the credit cap at some point, I'm not even awarded money for the races anymore. Sure you can argue that I do have enough money at that point, but still, I'd like to see some point in repeating A-Spec races. For me personally, everything except the seasonals is very little fun right now, and hitting a credit cap sooner or later is going to remove one more of the already few reasons to play GT5.

A 40-60 mill cap would be nice.

I think they intentionally did it this way so that Penniless was easy to get without having to buy multiple cars or start a new save.

I don't really get, why people would be upset about the 20 million cap.
I mean, there is no need to save up your credits, it is only there to be spent.
If there would be something like retirement provision in the game okay, but except for spending your money on cars, tuning parts and such, I don't see a reason to save your money beyond 20 mil. which is the most you can spend for one car.

1. The prices for many cars are arbitrarily high (yet many of them have little or no resale value), and there are more of them to buy...

2. The cash rewards for the bulk of advanced races (especially endurances and online races) is way too low -- It's like they just carried over the GT4 prize money format without any adjustment...

3. The first two points wouldn't be so bad if you could still win (and sell) prize cars repeatedly like in previous games...

Does anyone here have a Japanese Twitter acct? If so can you please hit up Kaz on Twitter and tell him we desperately want the cap removed. A $20mil cap is utterly ridiculous. There are at least 4 cars in the game that cost that much alone, not to mention dozens of cars priced above 1 mil. It takes around 300k just to fully mod and tune a car and now they want to put cap in? Bullshavick! It was no problem in Prologue because you didn't buy mods in the first place, and all he cars were cheap compared to GT5. It seems they did this to keep us playing longer, but um hello! Earth to PD! GT5 has online play, so between that, the seasonal events, and the up coming online prologue style matchmaking they've promised (it better freaking come) this game will last another 5 or 6 years easily until the next GT arrives.

Credit limit is a good thing, maybe not the 20M but a little more, limit the credit is fair for everyone.

I think the limit should be raised to about 40 million personally.

At least...

or alternatively, they could increase the prize money or better yet just cut the prices of any cars costing more than 6 million...If there is such a thing as a car that costs 20 million, I guess it could be that sci-fi Red Bull...To have any other cars much higher than 10 million is just dumb...
