Please explain to me why PD set the credit limit to 20,000,000 -unlocks the X2010 in the dealership @ level 30, then price the x2010 @ 20 mil, and can only be bought @ level 40...:grumpy:
What's up with that? Sorry for the rant friends...

I'm thinking there might be some kind of money cheat/glitch that we haven't discovered yet, and that the 20mil cap is there to stop an over use of it.
But with the shear number of people playing this game you woulda thought somebody would've found it

They wanted to create a subject that made people use Search functions on fora.

Sadly it didn't always work.

Or, whet our appetites for the colored X2010s (I love the Cranberry #15), then get frustrated and so resort to trading with our generous X2010 collectors/dealers here...

Whilst there is a Level 40 limit, isn't it funny/ironic that we have huge XP rewards for the level 40 24hrs Nurburgring event?

Illogical. If the game developers would know of a glitch they would fix it rather than make a limit for your credits because of that.

I believe the 20mil limit is present in the game because of a specific PSN achievement (methinks it's called "Pennyless", hope I'm not wrong), which needs you to totally wipe your wallet in a single move.

Since it's quite rare to do this at the very start of the game (20000cr maybe seems easy to spend completely, but actually I'm talking about people who start the game, buy first car, do oil change... Then chances to empty completely the wallet becomes really tiny because of pieces costs), you may then grind until you get 20 million and voilà, you can buy one of the three supercar (initially they're classified as "very rare"), wiping promptly your credits total. And then you get the achievement... After all, who need to stack so much much much money, since GT5 is designed for the pleasure of driving? It's supposed that a driving aficionado will always buy here and there some cars to drive... ^^

I just noticed a "Gran Turismo Cheats" inserted advert in my first post. If you click on it, it asks for your cell number...must be a phishing scam of some sort.
I can't believe gtplanet.net condones such practice.👎

edit: it pops up now and then...

It's been a while but I seem to remember grinding B spec for the X10 - I think it was level 35 B-Spec

There are plenty of glitches to get around the money issue. Duping, gifting, using several PSN accounts and "borrowing" cars to run the Seasonal Events and Bonus Races, A-spec "rubberband grinding", etc.

At some point, it actually gets kind of hard to spend the money fast enough!

And I think that's part of the reason for a cap - if you're at 20m credits, and you still have races you want to run, you have a choice: spend some money, or race for free. Before I'll enter one of the big-payout bonus races, I'll make sure I go buy something nice - a Murciélago, a 458 Italia, etc - just to clear out some room under the cap. A couple times a week, I'll come across something really choice in the UCD or OCD, and spend a few million. It always seems to come back quicker than you'd think... ('Course, I've been known to let my Bobs do some enduros while I sleep or work, which helps. And rubber-band grinding stacks up the coin in quite a hurry, too!)

Rossticles: Not whining...actually wining in Napa Valley, CA at the Trentadue Winery. Beats grinding.

I grinded (or ground) B spec to lvl 30 and got the Vettel challenge. I'm assuming you win one if you complete this.

I can't drive the damn thing for toffee anyway, so why the heck would I want to buy one. Maybe by the time you make 40 you'll be good enough (unless you did it on B spec)

edit: I just checked and it seems that if you gold all 3 tracks, you end up with 3!

I'm thinking this might be a little easier with a wheel. Any thoughts?

Just found out - you hit L35 in B spec, they give you an X2010!

Now to get some practice, so I can win another...

The Vettel challenges make using the X2010 seem ridiculously hard because of the tough perameters involved in getting a good time. However, when you have your own and start to practise with it on High Speed Ring, Le Mans, Cape Ring Periphery etc then you start to bond with it a lot quicker because you're not being disqualified every 10 seconds - you get a chance to run the car and learn from your mistakes. I feel that i've really got to grips with the car now and finaly feel ready to get my 3rd bronze (Suzuka) to actualy win one, rather than just trading for them! :)

That's an important point. I got my X2010 for B-Spec 35 and am practicing the Vettel events in practice mode rather than in the Special section.

I did the X Challenge after the Update and I was able to Bronze all 3 (not easily, but I was able to do it).

Now I have 4 X2010s though.
