If she did that to my boy, I just might use her for target practice.

Woops, nevermind.

The thing about kids is, they can't be expected to make educated responsible decisions about their future... they're kids.

That's why you can't have a 23 year old having sex with a 14 year old. He could get her pregnant (regardless of which one is the guy and which one is the girl).

Kids just can't be expected to be able to make these decisions. When you're a 14 year old girl, maybe you decide that the A in the class is worth having to sleep with your teacher. When you're a 14 year old boy, you're thinking, I would sleep with a wall socket if it had lipstick!

But not heero12 - he's only 15 but don't you dare call him a kid. He got an extra helping of maturity, so he's qualified to pass judgement on anything.

From a legal enforcement standpoint, you've got to draw the line somewhere. 18 seems like a pretty good place to draw that line... right when you're getting out of high school - your first big decision about your future - if or where to go to college and what to major in.

 didn't think of that but it sounds pretty hilarious now. Ah... 🤬 school, I'll just have a kid and sit on my ass at home.

I read about this the other day, she has a husband too. Shes a real hot teacher though.

Ow!!
I got sarcasm in my eye!!.

The thing we have forgotten is that kids (think they) know everything between the ages of 14 and 18. Thankfully, none of my kids have come to that place yet.

She asked the kid twice before doing it, he said yes almost immediately both times. I know I would've said yes.

Just cause you don't have good sense doesn't make it right to boff, or be boffed by your teacher.
You have only proved what we have been saying. At the stage you're at, you are a 5-and-a-half foot tall walking hormone. Your "stuff" gets stiff when the cafeteria lady wears a new perfume!
If you learn nothing else today learn this: When following your little head, instead of your big head you will always be following a brainless fool, and usually into trouble. (unless your little head is following your spouse, and even that can be leading to some trouble).
Following your "judgement" would be a lot like following a bunch of lemmings that asked you along for a "little jog".

Am I saying "never have sex"? No. I'm saying that at your age you aren't even beginning to contemplate the repurcussion of having sex with a fully grown married woman.
Forget that her husband is probably going to divorce her. What if he decides that you are the cause of all the troubles? Jilted lovers are as unstable as old dynamite. The littlest jar can cause them to be very "explosive".
How would you, as a fifteen year old, like to have an angry, jealous, likely armed, 25-year-old man hunting you with a large knife, or a firearm?
She might have been his entire life, and in his eyes you're the cause of all hell breaking loose. If he's as screwy as she is you might find yourself on the wrong end of a gun. Or you might find your balls on the sharp edge of a Bowie knife!
Do you really think that's worth "bumpin' uglies" with that sick *****?

Well guys I'm sorry for starting this arguement, guess it's just something that happens when you don't get your multiple personalities in check for a few days. I'm not sure what to think, but I do know 18 is not a good place to draw a line, sexual urges cannot and will not be suppressed that long.

Why not? There was a woman on TV the other day who was a virgin at 35. Jean Alexander (anyone in the UK would know her as "Hilda Ogden") died a virgin in her 70s. If women can do it, why can't you?

In the UK you can legally have it off, buy cigarettes, get married, ride a moped or 50cc bike on the roads and live on your own (with parental approval) at 16 - although you can't vote, join the armed forces or buy your own alcohol until you're 18. You can't legally drive until you're 17. I first had sex when I was 17 - and I didn't feel the need to just shag anything that stayed still long enough. I'd been in a "relationship" with the girl for nearly a year.

And finally... Masturbation is under-rated.

To add to what I said earlier, This 14 year-old may now be trying to get some sex from other 14 year-olds. Newsflash! Their dads may have even worse reactions than the "jilted spouse". They may not kill you, but it's doubtful you get to keep those knackers you've grown so proud of.

I'm not sure where they are from but I remember hearing about it on Dateline or something. A teach that had a relationship with a student and she went to jail for it but they had a kid. Later on I guess they had another one. Now the student is 18, the teacher is going to get out and they are still planning on being together.

Mary Kay Letourneau

She was 36 and married mother of four, he was 13 and in 6th grade, she got pregnant and went to jail for abotu a year. Upon release she illegal met with the now 14 year old student and again got herself pregnant. She is in jail for the second time for statatory rape and for breaking probation demanding she stay away from the boy.

The boy's mother has sued the education system for not protecting her child. The boy still wants to live his life with the woman and move off to Hawaii.

He needs a swift kick to the back of the head. Repeatedly.

He? She's the one who needs a swift kick in the head.

She has two children while she is in jail and the father is in middle school? Damn.

He needs it for thinking he loves her and all that crap.

i dont see anything wrong with that, false arrest

Having sex with children is wrong, and highly illegal. It matters not whether you are a man or a woman.

14 is a teen, everyone who is 14 does it all the time

That may be, But adults doing it with kids is wrong.
And if you're doing it at 14, you need tighter parental control.
For the most part, the parents of the 14 year olds in question would not be jazzed to find their kids boffing their teachers, and I hazard a guess that they wouldn't be jazzed to find you boffing each other either.

Yeah, I'd be really pissed if I caught my 14 year old daughter with some punk kid.

I'd be proud if my son was having sex at 14. Eh, maybe not.

:scared: geez... the way your talkin reminds me of that movie KIDS. I had to see it for school why I have no freakin clue.

The aftermath is included. We all remember our first time (except those who haven't had one yet). His future will be tainted by knowing that his first time was with a woman who technically raped him. Every future girlfriend will ask "So how many woman have you slept with" (they all do it) and, even if he doesn't recount the story out loud, it'll be there in his head.

We can all have "bad" sexual experiences, but we could do without remembering that we were raped.

Agreed.

According to dictionary.com:

Rape:

To force (another person) to submit to sex acts, especially sexual intercourse; commit rape on.

I don't see how does this qualify as a rape.

So far I think we all agree that what she did was wrong. A teacher should never sleep with his/her students. (this is a "very toroughly applied" rule in university and colleges by adults, though...) She exposed the teenager to adultery, in a very bad way. (We never, ever let them see such things in movies and sitcoms, or let them see real life occurences of this... ok, perhaps you mean in an explicite way? Both may have the same results IMO, and at that age, the boy's education and background will influence their reaction after being exposed to that.) Also they did this in presence of his friend, and that's obviously not an picture you want to have with your teenager in... and, as I said, worst of all, they didn't wore any protection while doing it. So yes, that's a pretty dumb thing for her to do, and I'd be pretty pissed about this girl if I was the father.

Concerning the aftermath, if I was in his shoes, I wouldn't feel like I've been "raped". But my memories of the event would have been tainted by the fact that for something I accepted and enjoyed, or would have been doing anyway with a girl of my age, a women lost her job, her marriage, (to this point I agree it's deserved), then she was ashamed in the media nationwide (and worldwide) before being put behind bars. And, thanks to clever use of the media, anyone on the internet have access to the whole story in all of its detail. My name is not displayed in there, but everyone who knows me, family, friends, classmates knows every single detail out of it where, how and when. How cool is that, uh?

I guess the goal would be reached; I wouldn't want to have sex for a long time, and you're right that my sexual life would be tainted by these memories for a while.

But if I felt used, forced, abused against my will or misled into something I'd never would have done, I'd feel more justified in going through all this, in front of the court and the public, to prevent a sexual predator to strike again. But not for that, as wrong as it may have been.

And, on a sidenote, for those who say that wouldn't be a discussion about this if the teenager was a girl, well... how many times have you heard a boy say that he accepted to do it because of pressure from his girlfriend, even if he didn't feel he was ready? Now how many times have you heard the opposite?

A child cannot agree to sex without parental consent, the same as a child cannot sign a legal document without parental consent. Therefore regardless of how many times the boy said "Yes", that yes is worth absolutely nothing since it was coming from a minor. From the legal standpoint then the child never truely agreed to have sex, and the woman is commiting rape.

This called "statutory rape", meaning the victim was not of legal age of consent, as correctly pointed out by the 359. Forcible rape is called "sexual assault", meaning violence or threat of violence is involved (non-consensual sex).

I don't call a 14 year old boy a child, but a teenager. Yes, he's far from a responsible adult, but a 16 year old boy is still a teenager and that would be legal, so the lines are very blurry there, it's not that hard to find a 16 year old boys that is less mature than another one who's 14 year old. I understand that the law has to be respected, and there has to be a line somewhere, but in that particular case, how did it all that helped his life?

And why in the hell media are allowed to show us so much detailed information on cases like this? Does this have any value for the public? Cases of child abuse are often presented in the media with no regards for the victims, and the result is that they become part of a freak show that either excite some perverts or disgusts others.

This called "statutory rape", meaning the victim was not of legal age of consent, as correctly pointed out by the 359. Forcible rape is called "sexual assault", meaning violence or threat of violence is involved (non-consensual sex).
Ok, sorry for the mix-up about definitions, whe have different terms in french, the equivalent word for rape is used for sexual assault, only when force is involved. Looking at the definition in the dictionnary, I thought it would be the same in english.

You've explained why it's illegal technically, and I'm fine with that. I just don't see how it helps the victim in that case by the way it's enforced.
