la sarthe I is definatly the chicane one.

p.s. is anyone thinking of doing something like this with the nurburgring 24hour race?

The real race starts at 15:00 Greenwich Standard Time.
The real race is on June 18-19, 2005.
There are only 50 cars allowed in the real race

to answer ure question properly cos i didnt read it soz it wont be on terrestrial tv like itv, bbc etc but my mate has said its bound to be on sky sports and hes gonna tape it for me and keep me updated (but im tryna persuade his mum to let us watch it at his and play ps2 there :p) so hes gonna have official info soon and ill post it when i get it

safe

The real LeMans race will be televised incompletely on the speed channel (they do these 4+ hour showings of the race following through the night). I imagine that if you pay enough money you can get DVDs of the whole thing (although that'd be a load of DVDs to stock up your case with). And it appears that race 1 is the one with chicanes. Sorry about that.

small note jpec, u have me down twice on the list ;)

i cant wait for this race

Take the GMT+# / GMT-# that you have in your profile, combine it with the 15, and that's what time it starts for you.

SWEET i have speed i can wach it!!!!

ok form what i've got so far it on at 10:00 here in austin but is it starting AM or PM???

If you followed the instructions in my earlier post, you'll get the time on a 00:00 - 23:59 schedule (numbers less than 12:00 are AM, numbers over 12:00 are PM).

The below information should help everyone, (For those who need it) determine what their local start time will be in connection with the real race....

1. Go to World Time Server
2. Under the heading Select A Date...make the date show 2005 > June > 18th
3. From the drop-down menu under Home Location select France
4. Under Location 2: find your country
5. UNCHECK (If you wish) both Save Home Location & Save Selected Location as Favorites
6. Click Submit
7. When the search results are displayed, under the left Column, which is "FRANCE", scroll down until you see the start time for the race (12:00pm local time)
8. Under the RIGHT COLUMN, across from the start time of the race, is the time YOU will need to start the race in real time

It's as simple as that! :-)

Hopefully this helps everyone figure out what time to start 'their' engines! LOL!

Actually...we are both wrong ( ) because 15:00GMT is actually 3pm local time based on the fact that:

* 15:00GMT is also 1500 in military time (Fifteen Hundred Hours)
* You always subtract twelve (12) hours from military time to find the time as it would be displayed on a standard clock....like the one called Big Ben!
* You then take into consideration 'your' location and the time difference between YOU & GMT

And if you also go here you'll notice that when you use the drop down menu to select 15GMT...it shows it as 03PM...

Therefore, since I live on the west coast (California) here in the United States, then any event taking place at 3pm local time in France, (which is currently +7 hours ahead of my local time) would 'start' at 8am my local time... :D

<Damn! I'm going to need to get up really early to start this race! :indiff:>

OK so all doubts has been straighten out :) Then from your information and from Le mans site results that year ago race started 1h later (16 GMT ;) ) cos on site they say that tv transmisions started at 15.45 - 15 min before deadline I think.
8 am - its not so late ;-)

This seems a sweet ride 👍

Sign me up, I will race with PlayStation Pescarolo C60

Not exactly...but since that show is based on the SoCal area (Southern California) and the surrounding cities (L.A., Long Beach, Organe County, San Bernadio, etc, etc) you're going to find a lot of beautiful/gorgeous women, phat exotic cars and all that but that's not to say that ALL of California is like that!

As for living in England, I'm sure you have your hot spots for finding/seeing nice looking women!...You've got to...cuz everytime I open a new edition of Max Power, my jaw hits the ground at all the fine looking women I see, so I know they're out there! LOL!

lol there are ure rite but i aint got the time neither the energy to find em so ill make do with max power as well for now ;)

true soz bout that, btw jpec can i make a suggestion, why don't we do a team thing to like we can still count no of laps at end out of all the racers but also we should add up both no of laps between the two racers in same team and have another list stating which teams did the most laps as well. just thought it would be an extra bit o fun :)

for the record my team mate is gonna be bunta of team toyota and were both gonna run woodone supras, anyone else up for this idea
