Has anyone let the game run on it’s own in B Spec for this race? I have the Audi R8 but I want to know if this is the best car to use & what is a proper tire setup for handling the ring? I was thinking hard tires for the rear & medium for the fronts. I don’t exactly have the time to race it & I’m after the F1 car more than anything. From what I’ve read about the B spec driver, it cannot always be trusted. Any thoughts & ideas?

Thanks

.

UPDATE::

I went ahead & let it race with extra hard rear tires & hard front tires. Currently my R8 is 3 laps ahead of the group with 25 laps complete & a time 2:51:XX in steady race mode.

i used a nissan skyline race car (concept) with a turbo on and it eliminated the rest of the field i would advise using this car (as i also done the whole race on B-Spec) and i would use a super hard racing tye on the back, and hard racing tyre on the front, hope this helps and good look,

karl.

I B-Spec'd the entire race w/ my Nissan MOTUL Pitwork Z. Smoked everyone by 18 laps by the end. Super hards on rear, hards on front. My B-Spec driver had VERY little experience when I threw him in there.

The R8? Kind of overkill isn't it? lol
I did it with the BMW GTR, and won quite easily with a couple laps to spare. 👍

With an R8, you should be able to slaughter the AI. I did it with a similar car (Minolta) in B-spec (skill level about 3000) and won by about 35 laps. And the tires I used were R2's front, R1's rear.

I've been b-spected the 24h since last week......i'm on 5th time ...... i'm using the 1st F1 that i won....because the f1 cars don't get ''tired'' and with less HP.....so mine already has 23000 km........lol.........

The 1st time i change A-Spect and B-spect during the race, i think i make + or - 8 hours.......and i use Audi R8.......pretty easy to win......

Opps, I guess your right. the R8 is beyond overkill. LOL!

I didn't know what I be racing against when I entered this level.

Current stats

10:47.XX hr/min completed

100 laps completed

13 laps ahead of 2nd place car.

Good God I'm getting tired but it's coming along. For a while I went ahead & played A spec mode, it seems I can eat up tires & fuel faster than my B spec driver can.

Current Stats

21:20:xx hr/min completed

197 laps completed

24 laps ahead of 2nd place car.

AMG CLK GTR [R]
+stage 3 turbo
+racing super hard tires @ both ends
Currently 3 hours left in the race. I've got 20 laps on the Alfa touring car, who has 6 laps on everyone else.
If I was doing the driving I'd try to find something competitive, but since it's just B-spec I don't think there's any reason to play on a level field.
Pit stops are every 4 laps (taking ~10 min at triple time), at which point the rear tires are almost totally shot.
I drove myself for 4 laps, and I'm apperently much harder on tires then B-spec guy. During the last 1/3rd of lap 4 the car was nearly undrivable. Not at all like GT3 where you could just keep going on red tires and getting really crappy lap times.

YO I had a quick question that kinda follows the topic. Does your b-spec driver pit byhimself or do u have to babysit the ps2 so he will pit when needed.

DONE! well B spec finished last nght at about 2:30am CST I was soooo tired last night even with a couple test drives in my new F1 CAR I'm glad at least it has a B spec feature like X3 the games normal speed.

STATS:

LAPS 222

29 laps ahead of 2nd place car. - NISSAN Skyline GT-R (Falken 'Ring 24H '04)

B SPEC will pit itself, refuel, change tires without you makeing the selection for the game. it goes into effect as a default after pullinto the pits after 10 seconds. I did have on issue where it pitted at LAP 162, it pulled in then just sat there for 2 minites until I caught it. I didn't touch the controller so I still can't figure out how or why that happened.

where do you get the audi r8

I saved up & bought it. I'm only 58% into game now but at day 1028 now. The F1 car handling makes a world of differance on the rest of the courses. Right now it's hard to drive anything else but that car.

I used the Ford GT 2 that I won on the last series of Professional Events. Just put all upgrades and hard tires on it. As soon as I overtook the others I set it on cruise & overtake than checked the next day and I won, I only had about 2000 b-spec. 30.7%, 16000 a-spec, 80 golds, & all missions complete.

My driver has missed the pit, though the `P' was lighted. Also, she has a penchant for driving off the track followed by confusion as to how to get out of the gravel/grass/sand...

I can't remember how many points she has.

Screwtape

B-Spec Bob used the Saleen S7 with RH/RH the first time, ended up 12 laps ahead. Then he used the F1 he just won and ended up some sick amount, almost 97 or 98 laps I think. I just A-Spec'd it all 8 days with the first F1 and was up 89 or 90. I just used the MINOLTA to B-Spec this last time and he won by 17 laps. My first F1 has 13487.7 miles on it, JUST from endurance racing all the endurance races.

I did this race in the 88C-V w/RSH/RSH, not thinking that I was going to be against touring cars. I set the first lap to Push and Pass, got into first before even getting halfway through the course, set it down to Steady, and let it run. The Stig put it in the pit consistently every four laps, and I lapped the second place car at least twenty or thirty times.
