is that a Nissan or a Datsun, they all look the same to me, hahaha :) Could be fun!

Jerome

Man, I've been waiting for a good GT Mode combo to try and race something, but I think this will suffice because it's an old car(they're more balanced than newer cars, as in can actually oversteer a little) and a good one at that. :)

I'll see what I can do Jake, don't expect much, it's been a while!

And Jerome, same deal, Datsun/Nissan. 👍

Nissan named all their early imports to America under the Datsun badge. It is said they did this in case the cars flopped here in the States, as not to tarnish the Nissan name. Of course we all know the results of the Z car! 👍

Here is mine:

Tsu is a favvie track so I'll hop in your car this weekend and post some captainslow-worthy splits ...

Connecticut law requires a front plate but I guess I am just a rule breaker! :sly: Seriously though, the cops don't give too much trouble with old cars like this unless, of course, I cause trouble. :trouble:

... don't mean to say you don't cause trouble on the CT highways Jake?

Question: we're not req'd to do the extra bit of the track this time? ;)

BTW great car you've got, must be a pleasure to drive. Ever did the 270Z, of which I was told how great that one was? I remember a great commercial on that car on the theme 'take the long way home' ...

I abide buy all the rules and regulations of the road (cough) :sly: The car made me do it officer... :dopey:

You can run the extra bit if you prefer, Steven, just watch out for traffic. The 270 was just a bored block. Nissan didn't manufacture it, but I have been wrong before. :)

I was wondering why they looked so similar and was assuming it was one of those Toyota/Lexus things. Great lookin' car tho Jake!

Here are my splits:
T1 - :15.329
T2 - :34.582

This car is great fun and actually suits the track pretty well, good combo.

Fast splits, Jerome, glad you like it. I felt like it was a worthy combo. I think it might lead to a few other combos with the different generation Z's. 👍

Updated leaderboard with Jerome, Haitham, and Steven.

Used TCS since this car has some random wheelspin and found angles that used the least amount of turning and stayed off grass/rumbles.

15.150
34.248

Best T1 I've had, but I messed up T2 a little a lost a tenth, probably some more there as well, but I picked up a tenth on my best ending so I'll keep this.

Sweet splits. I have not tried TCS yet but based on your speed I think it might help me a little. Thanks for the tips. 👍 Now to get back on the track!

Well thanks Jack, just give away the secret now! :P Always gotta be just a lil' faster than me, huh? Nice work mate, I'll try this again this weekend.

Jerome

Yeah thanks Jack, that helped me jump_over jump_ace... at least for now. :):)

Yes, I was thinking the same thing myself. I'm having some interesting test sessions here in my cave. 👍

By being a MAN and not using TCS... :p And then of course stopping before going further because the open differential mixed with super soft handling makes for a frustrating experience whenever you try to apply full power while still turning in second gear(not randomly).

I'll come back to it in aided style sometime later, gotta be productive today!

Thanks Jake!

Hopefully some of the other Z cars aren't held back so much like this one is due to GT4's ways. I hope they have a larger color selection too, haha.

Totally agree with you, I ran it without TCS and found that wheelspin can be controlled but it's too slow if your trying to keep up with the leader for sure. I have some other interesting combos in the works, as long as there's continued interest...

New splits

16.144

Great fun, always good to re-visit Tsu.

Another quick go, and i'm quite pleased with this car considering i've never used it before.

15.298
34.439

Hmmmm, ran about 5 laps without tcs and sucked ass :p Turned it on and found myself feeling like a stick in the mud but I think it's needed. Frustrating, feels like that license test in the mini to me. I'm on a 34.8x now, I'll keep going for a few more and see what I can muster, I'll be back 👍
