24hour gaming...

I guess this is a good place to post this............. Me and two other friends are planing on doing a 24 hour gaming session with breaks.. The problem is one of my friends mom said we will have strokes from playing that long just looking at the screen is this possible does anyone have expierence with playing games 24 hours straight?
 
No, she's lying her ass off. She doesn't want you guys in her house for that long without giving her some peace and quiet. Go ahead and do it, but buy her some ear plugs.
 
O i forget to mention shes a nurse and we are doing it at my house, my mom doesnt care nor does my dad....
 
The funny thing is I played the whole resident evil series in like 40hours once and I didnt have a stroke though I took like hour long breaks and ate alot. Lots and lots of pizza haha....
 
Once I was up for 4 days, with only a 20 min. period that I dozed off. I was on the computer/watching TV for a good 80% of that time, and I am still alive. So you should be fine.
 
Not really a thing you should be proud of. *lol*

Anyways, there's no problem with being up so long and playing videogames. The world record in nonstop videogame playing has been made by some German guys which was 80 hours or something like that.
Though I know lotsa people who did even more than 80 hours. o_O *rofl*
 
Yeah thanks man I just wanted to know if anyone else has done it cause I've never heard of people having stokes like that heh. If that was true it would be on the gaming manuals
WARNING: Playing games for 24hours will result in strokes more like WARNING: You can play this game for however as long as you want but theres no gurantee that your ps2 wont suffer a stroke good luck... SONY lol
 
You'll definately be quit alright playing games all day, I normally do that during the summer when all my friends travel away. Just make sure to answer nature's call and what not, but I doubt you're not THAT stupid, heheh.

Also! -- If I stare/look at something green and somewhat far away (like a forest/trees/etc), it tends to help relax my eyes. Well, you can kind of guess what I mean, it just feels .. not as bad as staring at a screen all day.

Edit: I have heard of some Korean guys who were playing an online game for some extended period of time diein' from a stroke or something, but don't worry about that. :rolleyes:
 
Well, you really shouldn't be doin' that, but I'm 99% sure you won't die (that last 1% is just to cover my butt). Why are you doing this in the first place though?
 
Well its spring break for me so ... Me and a few friends thought it would be cool...........Not really a good reason but o well......

Heard about the same thing. That Korean bloke was playing Counterstrike for a week but forgot to eat, drink, go to the toilet etc. *rofl* Weird stuff.

PS. Not to forget LAN-parties, where there are lotsa people who usually play more than 24 hours straight.

wow, spring break and ur gonna play video games with a bunch of sausage? .............that is lacking.

go find some partys, get hammerd, and poke a girl or 2 (or at least try to)....thats what spring breaks is about. not 24 hour sausage sessions

Spring break for me was always a week long, 24hrs should hinder any of that. Plus, I viewed spring break as a week away from school, doing whatever I wanted to do.

Also, you can get hammered at a party and "poke" a girl there. All of that can be done in another 24hrs.

Back on to topic. Maybe her mom was taking those "Warning: Epileptic Siezurs may occur." thing and took it an extra mile.

You could game to your hearts content. They never close.

Plenty of booze, great food and hot women (who would be more than happy to let you poke them, for a fee).

I once played a set of Quake III deathmatches with a friend. First to 100 kills won each match, loser got the beer, 2 cans per match. 14hrs straight, no problem.

Felt bad the next day though.

Seriously, I wouldn't worry about anything too severe happening to you 2, you will feel like **** sooner or later though.
 
I've been up for about 3 - 4 days straight using my computer almost non stop. My only breaks were a few 4 hour sleep sessions and a 20 minute break every few hours or so. By the end of it all, my eyes were stressed as hell and couldn't completely focus until after a full night's sleep and a full day without staring at my laptop

Damn I hate school sometimes :(

you keep stating that i have an "imaginary" girfriend. and that i "exploit" her. then why dont i just make a thread titled; "My Hot Girlfriend! Pics!! Look and Be Jealous!!!". then maybe that will renew your ability to rag on something soo old and stupid that only people like you can manage to bring up and use against me several months after. maybe all of us that posted a picture of our GF's in that thread are guilty of "exploiting" since all i did was post one pic. then instantly got accused of posting a false girlfriend just because she was the most visually appealing one of the lot. i call that jealousy. and dont say "oh im not jealous, because you have no girlfreind and you make mangacars all day".because if you werent either jealous or envious...you would not post critical responses staing she was fake..you would simply put down..."oh nice girl", or "i dont like"etc.... like some of the other normal dudes here did.and you state that i constantly make mangacars.....yet the only mangacars i make are for the competitions...and thats what? once every week. and a car only takes me 2 hours to make while im watching tv and on MSN at 1AM wich is a pretty normal thing to do at that time on a tuesday night. and you NISMO, i see contributions from you to the MangaCar Thread on a normal basis....and those cars are made for no apparent reason other than boredom....looks like your bored alot. too much time on your hands maybe? i wonder why you trash me for partying on spring break....maybe because my spring break only consisted of things saps like you wish you did. you think drinking and poking girls is dumb...but thats because those are things you guys have prolly never had the chance to expierience...therefore are jealous of, and take a negative view to those who have had those endeavors. all the while you sit home on this forum and make fun of said ppl while playing GT3 and trying to think of witty remarks to make towoards me.
go on, respond with "im not jealous of someone as dumb and stupid as you" or something along those lines. because at the end of the day, YOU are the one making the mangacars and "surfing" while im out on a nice night with my "imaginary" lady.
