I just raced the nurb 24min race twice just to make sure but the Mazda Furai just dominated. My last race I did in 28.47.730 with a +1:21.462 over second place. The best thing was no pit stops. Use the all stock Furai transmission set to 205mph, and Intermitted tires and i finished both races with a little more than 1/4 tank and rear tires worn to a 5 fronts worn to 7. First lap once I finally got the hang of the handling (the race started with 20% surface water) I raced to 4th by the start finish line and all 15 other cars pulled into the pits. (Im guessing to change to intermitted or rain tires as the rain picked up)I kept going and majority of the second lap I 1/2 - 3/4 throttled except for long straights and kept the RPM's low and gained a 1:00 advantage over second place. The third lap the rain lets up and surface water dropped from 76% about down to 20% I believe and half way through your able to run full throttle again. By the end of the race I was 1:21.462 over the GTR-R35 TC, and further ahead of the R8 LMS Team PS, GTR R33 TC, Mclaren F1 GTR, SLS AMG GT3, and many corvetts. Mabey this is helpful mabey not but it worked for me and was an easy 1st place for a few 300k and change in credits. (And I know the times are not going to blow anybody away as I consider myself an decent driver, I did have a few spinouts and off track incidents but I think this will be a for sure win for anybody who might have struggled 1st try or anybody who just wants a for sure win.)

I for some reason never liked the nurburgring, maybe its because I did a 24 hour nurburgring session in GT5, and I got fatigued after 5 hours. Great tips and info though, 300k for a 24 minute race is pretty good considering post patches. In 5 days itll become 600k for 24 minutes.

I will have to do it again with the Furai then. I love that car. I did the race with the Rocket car and won by over 2 minutes. But I love the Furai so I will be doing it again.

I used the Toyota GT One with medium racing tires. No pit stops, but I took it really easy on the second half of the last lap because I was pretty low on fuel. No problem though as I had well over a minute lead at that point. Funny part was that even though I was just putzing around the track my lead kept growing and growing.

Thats what I noticed I couldnt believe when the other cars hit the drier track I still seemed to keep increasing my lead. Like I said that was my first try doing the race and I just couldn't believe after doing the other races and having to pit after 2 laps in some races that I did the whole race without pitting. I still haven't tried it with another car so mabey its all the same. I also wasn't too sure if gas usage and tire wear was affected by the way you drive and the type of car used, or if it had all wore the same almost like it war pre programmed.

Thanks for the race report and the information!

I always liked the Furai in GT 5 from its looks to it's handling so I'm now looking forward to using it again in GT6

Its a great car, its a small fast car that seem easy on tires and gas. I only wish there would be a premium cockpit view, that would make it one of top 5 go to cars.

I didn't try it in any other car. I wondered if using a high powered racecar or touring car would have a different result.(Like pitstops and increased tire wear). Thats the reason I said that it might be helpful or not in the post because I didn't know if using those cars could also run the race the same. Now my issue us the 24 min of le mans im so close but always have last lap issues. Either I have no tires or no gas its always one or the other. I've been messing with tires to see if I can get better results but so far no luck.(I've used the Sauber,787 stealth, and the Bentley. Bentley being the best so far). The 24min Spa-Franco. race I just bombed it a couple times with bad driving and I'm going crazy over the Silverstone 10lap race. I can not beat that damn BMW Mclaren F1 GTR race car. It blows me away every time. I've been trying to win it without using it but no luck. I've used the Z06 racecar, Z06 Le Mans racecar, #91 Orca Viper, Both Zonda racecars, Mclaren F1, SLS Stealth, GTR TC, I don't know what im doing wrong but those 3 races I need to win and im done with all the career races. To get 100% complete I neet to win that dame mission race old vs new ford gt at the nurb. I missed it by .106 so ive been too pissed to try it again. Last I need to learn how to drift, won the first bombed the 2nd and 3rd, and 2 cone missions. Any advice is welcomed.
