Something like this for DRAG cars has been done so i decided to do one for drift cars.

The rules are easy.

You have a budget of 25,000creds.
You have to buy a car, modifiey it with the remaining creds and drift it around tsukaba.Keep at it and send in your car and mod details, money spent and pics for members to view.

Good luck.

Good look.

You need to run these things by Swift before posting them...

;)

considering you can get FC's, S13s, and AE86's off the used lots for less than 10K credits, a LSD for 6K, and N tires for free, 25K is more than enough. Might even have enough spare change for a nice set of rims

totally rules out a chassis refresh though :indiff:

I'm in for this. I think it would be cool if people turn random cars into drift cars instead of just going and buying a Silvia or FC or something done-to-death like that.

I guess this is OK. Though I'm not quite sure of the point unless you're trying to find cool ways to tune a car for a specific track.

more money.. 👎

And buying a used car with a tweeked chassis is better then saving afew credits? I'd rather spend the extra credits on a low-mileage to get the extra power and straight chassis, then have to spend credits on the refresher plan. If there's was a budget on building car that rules out the refresher plan, a low-mileage car would be worth the investment, to me atleast. Just don't buy parts you don't NEED like brakes & the balance controller, drivetrain parts, and weight reduction, unless you have credits to burn...

hmmmm....

NSX Concept = Cr0 (Prize Car)
Racing suspension = Cr18000
LSD: Cr6000

That leaves Cr1000 for new rims and a car wash...

As you can see this is a CHALLANGE,not a comp.its to see how efficiantly you can buy and mod a drift car with a limited budget.

hmmm, So no winning cars allowed then???

I know it's not a competition, but even challenges need some sorta rule set...

Well the general set of rules are in my first post, but here are a few additions.

1.You are allowed to use won cars but they will be in a differant kind of group then cars that have been bought and modded for the25k.

2.An oil change is NOT included in the 25k.ie.oil change is free.

3.when posting a drift car you must:Show the price of the car,its make, milage and bhp,you must also show what mods you applied to the car,and how much each was,and finally, the cars bhp, tyres and weight after modding.

I'm in! Over 25.000 K money to spend is totally too much  , i use to a drift car usually only 15.000-20.000 K. Btw: GREAT IDEA FERGAMASCO!!

yeah, you need to narrow the field, because everyones just going to throw a trueno, or an s13 out there. how bout NON japanese cars only? ya gotta throw some sort of monkey wrench into the equation to make it interesting. not to say that you have a bad concept, you just need to make it a more difficult challenge. maybe do only european cars, because they are generally more expensive, leaving less money for mods. i dunno, thats just me.

Hmmm, good point,i willthink of a catch but i fear it may be too late, the thing is though, most drifters have used an ae86 or s13 sometime while drifting so this may open up the chance fo gt4 drifters to try out a new car.

ps.This was not my idea :indiff: ,it was done before but you had to build a drag car :dopey:

Hey , what about continue'ing, by giving the winner 1000, 2d place 700, 3d place 500, 4th place 300, 5th place 200, 6th place 100....credits to mod his car afterwards:D You should begin with stock though:p You could also save up for a new car. And I should advice to begin with....only trueno or silvia instead of starters budget, it should be stock:p Begin stock, then win money to adjust your car:D Or save up for new car.

Make a car rating system, and drift rating system. Car rating system because it should stimulate people to buy new cars:)

Ah well, only thinking this concept out, I have alot of idea's these few minutes, I dunno why, I also PM'ed DRIFTIN about the universial drift comp, just to give him a tip:p

PS. I'm full of idea's now, I dunno why, but I will go think about something REAL COOL now I started with it, some kinda GTPlanet career mode:p Maybe some career mode that swaps you through the whole forum section lol, sponsors in the general racing GT4, the drift part, or the gallery part in the photomode sections of the forums:D Lol, I'm beginning to have wild idea's:P

All good and well, but it does sound complicated,if i could sort out a system i would.

Any way,i have pictures of my car on the ps2,i will only be able to take pics on a camera and upload them to this site via my pc.

hope they come out well..

That's a bit unfair, I want to drift a japanese car but not a car that would be regarded as a drift car.

well, thats not the rules. you can use whatever car you like. i was just suggesting ways to make it a little more restricted. it was a suggestion for another time, another place. oh, as an add on to my last post, i think another cool thing would be to limit cars to being from the 1960's, 70's or 80's. get them ole' schoolers driftin. but again, these are just ideas 💡
