Wow, is this still in the works? It's been a while since I heard anything about this.
I don't quite get who they are targeting with this. The title suggests a more mature production but then Lucas has mentioned pod racing being a part of the series which evidently panders to children and is one of the weaker parts of the Star Wars saga as it lends nothing of value to the stories just an excuse for some visual eye candy in a desperate attempt to recreate the thrill of the trench run.
I wish they'd go back to producing more of Tartakovsky's Clone Wars instead. That series was amazing.
