2D Race Car

I have been racing races in GT4 while waiting for my AI to level up to level 40! In looking at the 2D Race Car in GT4 it has 762 hp and in GT5 it has 523 hp. Does anyone know why there would be such a difference in the same car?

Allmost all cars in GT5 have less HP then they did in GT4.
Edit: Did you put any parts on it in GT5? Did you change the oil?

Yes i did all of that in both programs...

This source even tell it had 420bhp.

Break in for the car in GT4 has been done and never used the engine limiter for this car but will check again. It is 200 and some more HP difference. It is like it is a different car altogether.

In GT5 the HP max is on the 2D is 530. But the 2J is about 800. So maybe you have mistake the two cars.

I'm playing GT4 right now and I can tell you that my two, unmolested Chaparrals, with no break in, rate at 426hp (2D '67) and 694hp (2J '70).

Edit: I've opened up my GT5 garage and the two, unmolested Chaparrals on 0.0 miles from tickets, rate at 407hp (2D '67) and 663hp (2J '70), each almost exactly 4.66% down (an oil change) on the GT4 versions.
