In the run up to the H2H semi finals/final, I'm wondering if some of you who have competed or like to compete have thought about having a 2vs2 battle but with 4 cars on the track.. now i know there are alot of argumental points on this such as judging difficulty etcbut i would love to see the better of us lot throw the talent out there and possibly have a 4 way battle or 2vs2.. not for competition sake (If popularity is high then who knows) but for fun to begin with?

Any opinions etc.?

I've drifted in a four car tandem and you can tell who's the better drifter, it would likely lead to allot of arguments as a battle though.

I was thinking there should be a team display tournament, each team tandems a lap or a section together and judge decides favourite.

Chris.

Team drifting is a lot more than just tandem. We run them in Poland and they are a lot harder to judge than normal comps as you have to take sychronisation into account.

Personally, my favourite thing to do in team drifts is crossovers. Fun as hell in the game and in real life........well, nothing comes close to the thrill of placing your life in the skills of the person coming in the other direction :D

Haha only track we can do crossovers is top gear track.. yeah 4 car tandem display would be perfect!!

You can do it on ANY wide track. As long as the track is wide enough for two cars to pass each other in opposite directions, then you can do crossovers :D

i*mean*full*on*sideways*S**t*not*just*a*drift*pastlol

How do I NOT mean full on sideways? It's not rocket science. A car is about 12-15ft long. If the track is more than 30 feet wide then you can do crossovers. You just have to be accurate on your steering and line, one car takes the inside line, one takes the outside. I've got a video of myself and a friend doing them on an oval during a drift demo. I was going clockwise and he was going anticlockwise, one of us took the inside line on turn one and the outside in turn two, the other took the outside line on turn one and the other took the inside line on turn two. Both pretty much on the lockstops and crossing over at full throttle. The track was only 32-35 feet wide depending on where you measure.

Like so....

Crossing over in the grey areas in the middle of each corner. :)

You can do what we did in any corner that is wide enough :)

crap i didnt explain that well enough.. i mean like figure of 8 crossovers if you get me?

We don't call them anything because to do a figure of eight pass you need a wide expanse of tarmac, which = either airport or carpark, which = fail :) LOL
