Good point. Better yet lets have it the way Skyrim allows you to customise the 3rd person viewing angle. Hold down R3 while zooming in/out with the Left Stick. Much more intuitive, and then perhaps a check-box in the options menu to turn on the dynamic (shaky) camera.
