Welcome to the 1st annual GTPlanet car show.

So, how will this work ? It's quite simple.

1.) Post a picture(s) of a car that you would like to show off. Tell us a little bit about it.
2.) What have you done to it ?
3.) What color have you painted it ?
4.) What wheels have you fitted it with ?
5.) What engine, transmission, drive train mods have you performed on it ?
6.) What body kits have you outfitted it with ?
7.) Anything else you want to tell about it.

So now is the time to flaunt your stuff. Show us what you got, brag it up. Fluff and buff that ride, spit shine those wheels, get her looking pretty.

Upon entry - you must state whether it is a premium or standard car. (as we know, there are some variables, hence the reason for stating your classification)

There will be 3 premiums given out .....

1 for the BEST STANDARD CAR (will be awarded a 1 year premium)
1 for the BEST PREMIUM CAR (will be awarded a 1 year premium)
1 for the BEST OF SHOW (will be awarded a LIFETIME premium)

Sound interesting ? You bet it is. Remember, all proceeds for this show will go to support the best GT forum on the web.

Q. - Who will be the judge of this contest ?
A. - I have at random secretly selected a member of this forum to be the judge.

Q. - When will the contest end ?
A. - At the end of January, the 31st. to be exact. At that time, the mystery judge will make his voice known and call out the winners. I absolutely have nothing to do with the winners being selected. I'm just sitting back and dispersing the premiums to the winners.

Q. - Can I use a GT car from any of the previous games ?
A. - No, GT5 cars only please

*side note - very important*

All winners will be verified to see if they are a member in good standing, for obvious reasons. Why should I donate $90 worth of membership to those who are on the verge of getting his / her tail kicked out of here because they are an infraction collector ?

Any more questions ? Feel free to post them and I will add them to this OP for others to read.

Thank you, lets have some fun at the car show.

Premiums and Mods are also allowed to enter. At their choosing, they may select a member to give the gift of premium to one of their friends.

So, basically, we post a pic or two of a car we've worked over on GT5 and then the judges pick which is best, like a real car show?

I hope you know that that means that there will be less older and loyal members of the forum participating. I'm pretty sure many of the older forum users have been infracted at least once.

I think it depends on the amount of infractions said person has earned. One point is a no-problem. A point away from a ban is unacceptable, I'm guessing.

This is my Volvo 'Polestar' replica. It's complete with an RKM tune, and featured briefly in my fanfic before said fanfic died.

I've painted it a nice metallic blue and added some 5 spoke wheels similar to the real thing.

On the outside:
Front Aero Type B
Rear Aero Type A

And under the hood:
Stage 3 Weight Reduction
Rigidity Improvement
Carbon Fiber Hood
Engine Tuning Stage 2
Sports ECU
Sports Intake Manifold
Racing Air Filter
Sports Header
Sports Catalytic Converter
Titanium Racing Exhaust
Mid-RPM Turbo Kit
FC Gearbox
Twin Plate Clutch
Semi Racing Flywheel
FC LSD
FC Suspension

All of this makes for killer performance, except, because it's a Volvo, it's still safe and sensible!

This will be a Moderator call as to their current standing. Sure, there are infracted members in this forum and I'm sure they have cleaned up their act, or at least working on it. I think it is safe to say that we all know what I mean by "good standing". We have all seen the "not so good", and I'm sure they know who they are. Those who think it's cute to collect points from the Mods. :dunce:. Again, it will be a Moderator call, not mine.

Is it one entry per person? One premium and one standard per person, or one of the two?

It'll be hard to pick just one of my cars for this :p

It is just 1 entry per member, whether it is a standard or premium. So the choice is yours, choose wisely :sly:. Just pick what ever you feel the most comfortable with.

One question, because this is a very interesting concept, will the cars be judged on their standing alone or does photo quality affect the final out come? Or will that only be known by the judge?

My entry.

The figures.

A small, punchy 1.8l engine delivering 211hp to only a 760kg body is all that is needed to get this awesome machine weighing in at 481pp.

At 5000rmp the engine hits a maximum torque output of 152lbs. Not much, you may think, but with a power to weight ratio of 3.54kg per horse and fully customisable transition this car is comparable to mosquito around the Green Hell.

A twin-plate clutch and semi-racing flywheel have been added to improve responsiveness and a fixed sport suspension kit has given the Elise its frighteningly fast cornering abilities.

On the outside a wild Chameleon Orange colour shift coating has been applied with matching Orange Mica wheel paint while at the rear a Type C wing makes for improved down force and an extra bit of jazz.

This is my RUF CTR 'Yellow Bird.' As you can see, it's not yellow, rather I painted it AMG Monza grau magno from the SLS. It's a sort of semi-matte paint and I think it looks terrific. It also has new rims with sport soft tires. It has been extensively modified, so it won't kill people (much), even though it makes 671 bhp. I love driving it and I think it makes the best sound of any of the cars in my garage. I get goosebumps every time I open up the throttle because of the sound and the speed. It's really fast! I hope you like it as much as I do.

This is my 2009 Lamborgihini LP-670-4 SuperVeloce. It's tuned for high speed run on Special Route 7. It 856hp and 568 pound feet of torque at 7400 rpms. The car is fully tuned with all performance parts including aero, nude carbon fiber hood, and racing soft tires. The car currently has 639PP. The car is painted a matte black taken from the Lexus LFA. It gives a aggressive and intimidating look.

This is my 2002 Accent. It has lightweight Borbet wheels with Kumho KH16s to eliminate a lot of unsprung weight to help me get off the line and take corners. I've got that special moldy-leaves-scented air duct intake for the cabin, but I keep it in check with a special racing variety air freshener tree. Leather scent. I've also installed upgraded rain wipers and a cassette-to-aux adapter. Speakers are blown for extra torque and a v8 rumble. Driver's side headlight has a selective yellow haze for extra visibility.

All in all, it's about 105hp, some torques, and 509pp.

GRAN-TURISMO SKYLINE GT-R

All it takes is some simple connections to PD, a few million Yen, and viola! You have a Premo version of any car:D

This is a Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Nur '06. It has the same livery as the standard version of the car, albeit without the Z-Tune body kit equipped. However, it comes with a bit of a shocker: 906hp produced from the current RBTT in the 2012 R35 and a top speed of 250mph/402km/h. Other nice additions include a racing-spec roll cage, DOT-Spec street legal slick tyres, and a grand total Performance Point count of 746. The GTPolice would dominate with this in their possession!

Too bad it's in the hands of a criminal:sly:

This is my '91 Suzuki Cappuccino in a nice Estoril Blue with black rims. It is equipped with a small wing, an improved exhaust system and a dual-plate clutch, making for some nice cruising' along the beautiful Cote'd Azur or just some driving in London traffic.

Also, if we win and we're already premium, can we request it to be gifted to another member of our choice?

My Passionate Pink Mini One '02
KartSpace_5.jpg

This Mini started out its life in March of this year, after I purchased it from the used car dealership. At this time it was not pink, but rather Silk Green Metallic. That was soon to change. I modified it heavily, bringing the power output to 240 horses of fury, and 200 lb-ft of torque, from it's tiny 1.6 liter inline 4. After that I decided that it would be fun to have a pink Mini, however, I didn't have passionate pink, so I had to improvise, painting it this hideous shade of pink from Vauxhall. The color was so bad that I actually couldn't bear to drive the car, as just looking at the color gave me a stomach ache. :scared:
The project was abandoned for a few months, until I could get a better color. Then, back in July, I bought a passionate pink Lexus LFA, and painted it chrome. Now I had the right color. So, I quickly had the Mini repainted, and I put on a giant wing just for kicks. I started driving it more and more now, mostly online. I realized that being front wheel drive, it had some understeer that needed correcting. So, after doing some light changes to the suspension, I had a Mini that actually behaved like a Mini; being quick and darty. Then, earlier this month, I installed a set of black wheels, drastically improving the look. While there still needs to be some more serious tuning in the future, I have this Mini just where I want it at the moment.

Though this Mini is a great circuit racer, I don't always use it for that. I mainly use it for cruising with friends and surprising others online. It's beaten a few other hatchbacks around the Nurburgring, and has kept up with large supercars in the twisties. But still, with 240 horsepower, it climbs to its top speed of 160 mph rather leisurely. Currently, it has 3,212.3 miles on it, and has been driven 39 times, and has won 13 races. This car is fantastic. :dopey:

My car is the Honda Accord Euro-R '00 (standard).

Londres_2.jpg

I choose this car because I used to recreate a car I previously owned. I owned a Honda Accord '98 few years ago and swapped a H22a engine in it with transmission, which occurs to be basically the same engine at few hp less. I also had these blackhousing headlights and red/clear taillights. I tried to be the more accurate as possible.
The color is Everglade Green Metallic. If someone finds Dark Emerald Pearl, I will send you anything for.

Power: 230hp
weight: 1330kg
PP: 415

Engine: Sport Chip
Power limiter to 230hp
Racing Air filter

Exhaust: Sport exhaust manifold
No catalytic converter
Semi-racing exhaust system

Transmission: stock 5-speed gearbox
single plate clutch
sport flywheel
Limited-Slip diffential

Suspension: Full customizable suspension

Tires and wheels: Sport Medium or Sport Softs as I used R compound too
I put RAYS VOLK Trinity which ressembles the most those I had.

Parts missing: Brembo cross-drilled brake discs and hawk hp+ pads.
Mugen front lip

I really like this car. It's not a rocket, but it can handle great on track. I really enjoy it, because it's really close of the one I had in real life, even if it wasn't a Euro-R (damn 15 years rule for importing cars here). I miss this car, miss the 8200rpm cut off thanks to my OBD1 conversion to receive the new chip.
