30 second animated parody of '53 version of "War of the Worlds"

I know it's a very, very long time after Spielbergs War of the Worlds came out but I just found a 30 second animated parody of the original 1953 film and it made me laugh out loud. www.angryalien.com

You gotta be kidding. That old flick was so far ahead of its time, and so well-done, that many prefer it to Spielberg's. When it came out it just blew people's minds.

You are aware it was released in 1953, right? You're also aware of the many homages Spielberg paid to it in his film, right?

(The ani is pretty funny, I guess, although one wonders why they made the effort...)

I own the DVD, which comes with the original radio drama as well. It is like all great versions of War of the Worlds put on one disc so you don't need to bother with the remake.
