Scaff's looks awesome in red. My E46 looks good in a shade similar to that Montego Blue.

That being said, I saw a 335 coupe today in white with a red interior - it was very different from the run-of-the-mill BMW, and it looked great.

Just do not get black or grey under any circumstances - 90% of them will end up being bough in one of those 3 colors. Silver is OK, but not black or grey.
At this point, black or grey probably won't be an option. The BMW models still look good, but it makes it look a bit generic. So, different should be better. White w/ red interior might work, but it'll have to depend on how it looks. The interior I'd like to get is the Gray w/ Dakota Leather, and Gray Poplar Wood Trim.

On that note, this weekend, I should be getting the chance to see the Platinum Bronze, Arctic, & Sparkling Graphite. The S. Graphite looks great on the website and has grown on me, but I haven't seen the car outside yet (in the flesh). Hopefully, it turns out looking pretty good.

I like Montego Blue. Of course, I like anything that remotely resembles one of a make's official racing colors...and white looks boring.

Is Atlantic Blue the same as Laguna Seca Blau?

White. It's pure. Of course, the new Bimmer is anything but pure and sporty, but at least you'll think it's machine on a mission.

I would never buy a Beamer of any kind that wasn't a dark, almost navy blue. There are exceptions to this (namely sparkling graphite metallic on a few particular BMWs, and I would never turn down a BMW M1), but far fewer than one would think. I voted for Montego Blue Metallic.

Every BMW I see is in a dark colour, or something non-descript like white or grey. I voted for Montego Blue although Crimson Red would be equally nice looking.

Edit: Also, good choice of car McLaren, the 335i is one of my favourite new cars at the moment.

McLaren if you get that 335i coupe you have to let me take it for a spin so I can see if I like it or not. As many of you know I'm not a big fan of this new 6cyl twin turbo unit that produces an anemic ~300bhp.

As a thank you for letting me take it for a spin I'll let you take my Prelude for a spin.

The car would be in by Dec. or Jan. by the latest, so we can just call it my Christmas gift to you....:sly:

That's the test drive, not the car. :p

I wouldn't take the car--permanently as a gift. I'd sell it and use the funds to import a CSL from Europe and have a permanent "woody". I wouldn't even bother fixing my Camaro or Prelude--I'd just sell them off to my brother or something.

I don't know. Can you do all that for $50,000? :p

One could forget the BMW and go for the M45...... but why would anyone want a reliable V8 luxury sedan that costs as much as a 335i?

:sly:

EDIT: M45 Sport for 50,500

EDIT: M45 Sport for 50,500

I'm not going to pay a potential $300/month more for a lease on a M45 Sport, be charged with an immediate money down price on the car, or play the annoying games the salesmen like to play at the local Infiniti dealer.

You forget the M45 Sport is also $50,500 base. The M45 I'd want at the least is $55,000. But putting what I want on the 335i (which is $40K base), puts me at $48,425; $49,425 if I get the 19" wheels. Besides, I already have a performance sedan from Japan, and I don't particularly want another. With the V8 in the M45, I only get 25 more horses than the 3, and the V6 model makes less than my TL. If I want another performance sedan, I'll make sure it's got somewhere around 400 horses, and can use all of them on a track.

Montego blue or the white. As good as the titanium looks, everyone has a silver one.

-> I'd pick either TTM and Alpine White, as long it has black cloth interior. :)

Voted Montegoblau. Looks good with the Cream Beige interior. But I *have* been very partial to blue lately.

Monaco is a very nice color when it's clean. But it shows dirt just like black, so it can get a little maintenance heavy.

I saw Crimson on a 328i. Very nice color. Close to Imola, but not quite as deep.

Titansilber does show off the lines of the car quite nicely, but unfortunately, it seems like 63% of all BMW owners also come to this conclusion as well. The other 36% appear to have picked Jet Black... :indiff:

I'm also gonna go against the flow and say Alpineweiss does absolutely NOTHING for the E92 except make it look slab sided. Its even worse on the E90.

Have you considered ordering an Individual paint color? I hear they still have Estorilblau in the can these days.

I was wondering if you would reply to this thread. ;)

I pretty much agree with your post though I haven't seen a Crimson 3 Coupe yet. I think I'll be going for a color that's unique, something most folks don't pick.

Request orange. ;)

Ew. I saw the orange X5 with the red interior there someone special ordered.

Ugly as hell, so much even the dealer tried to tell him no. When a dealer tells you not to order a car in a certain combo. I'd freakin' do it.

I just got back from a week at the shore :) Just enjoying a couple o' cold ones and catching up on what I missed the last week.

Crimson looks good on the E92. But coming from Imola, you might be a little .....underwhelmed. I'm not sure what it is, because its a very nice color on its own, but compared to Imola... Well, let me just say I think Imola is the mother of all BMW reds.

If you want something rare, go for the Bronze. It might actually be the best color to go with the Cream interior, but I hear it comes with a couple of free vouchers for the Early Bird dinner at Shoneys' and BingoMania night at the VA in the glove box ;) On the bright side, your walker will fit in the trunk.

Barbera and Deep Green is not going to get checked much either, of all the rarer colors, the Bronze looks the best on the E92, IMO. If you get Atlantic, I will have to find you and stab you though the heart with BMW Special Tool #886-0-E439J.

That's the exact reason I'm not that interested in it. It's not bad, but it doesn't look as good as Imola or even the M6's Indianapolis Red.

Bronze isn't bad, I think the Sparkling Graphite isn't too bad. It looks pretty nice on BMW's site, but the 3 I pictured on the first page doesn't have the same effect.

Deep Green looks nice on 3 Series Sedans. I just can't see it on the coupe.
I won't be getting Atlantic though. I don't know if I've already expressed it, but I'd only want that color on the 6. The design of the 6 suits it.

Since you're not getting either color I recommended then go for the Montego Blue Metallic or the Arctic White. My guess is that the blue is more prevalent than the White.
