Rule 12
GTP_Famine
Well, the F1 season is nearly on us now and rather than looking outward for sites that run Fantasy F1 games, let's have one on GTPlanet!

So. Here's the rules:
* Your team consists of ONE car and TWO drivers.
* You may not exceed the £50,000,000 budget set
* Your team must be submitted as:
CAR: [Car name]
DRIVER1: [Driver name]
DRIVER2: [Driver name]
* Your car and drivers must all be from DIFFERENT real world teams
* You will have one chance in the season to change DRIVER1. You may take this chance whenever you wish, but if made any later than 1 minute before Free Practice 1 of the next Grand Prix the change will not be made until after that Grand Prix.
* You will have one chance in the season to change DRIVER2. You may take this chance whenever you wish, but if made any later than 1 minute before Free Practice 1 of the next Grand Prix the change will not be made until after that Grand Prix.
* Both drivers may be changed at once.
* If a real life driver is substituted for any race, his replacement will replace your driver for that race.
* You may not change CAR during the season, even if the real life team is no longer able to attend races.
* You may submit your team in this thread or to me by Conversation message
* Teams must be submitted no later than 1 minute before Free Practice 1 at the Australian Grand Prix.

The driver and car values are as follows:

* Cars score points according to the Famine's Adjusted Constructors' Championship system. In summary, all teams' first-place finishing cars are discarded and their second-place cars are reranked, using the current F1 points system:
1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4

10th - 1
* Cars score bonus points as follows:
Two cars in the points - +2
Two cars on the podium - +5
* Cars lose points as a penalty for:
Retirement (mechanical failure) - -5
Retirement (mechanical failure) for both cars in the same race - additional -10 penalty
Not starting the race - -10 per non-starting car

Reasons for retirement will be according to stewards' judgement and final as of midnight after the race in the race's local time.

So. Any questions? Get picking!

Should Lotus not now be Renault?

Anyway.
Car: Williams
Driver 1: Rosberg
Driver 2: Ericsson

OK then:

CAR: Toro Rosso - £8,000,000
DRIVER 1: Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) - £35,000,000
DRIVER 2: Fernando Alonso (McLaren) - £6,500,000
I know, I couldn't resist.
£49,500,000

I've never done one of these before, so can you clarify, are we allowed to pick the same drivers and car as another member?

I'll take

CAR: Ferrari
DRIVER1: Nico Hulkenberg
DRIVER2: Jenson Button

I would presume so as I can see Hamilton and Rosberg being quite a popular choice.

Sounds good, I'll give this a go.

Car: Ferrari.
Driver 1: Daniel Ricciardo.
Driver 2: Nico Hulkenberg.

@Famine

Okay. Well then can I change my choices?, as I was unsure and basically chose what I could see no one else had chosen (at the time). Or will that count as my 'one driver change' quota?

I'll give it a go.

Car: Williams
Driver1: Kimi Raikkonen
Driver2: Daniel Ricciardo

Though since your first entry wasn't actually valid...

Maybe this'll keep me awake through the races.

Car: Williams (£20,000,00)

Driver: Räikkönen (£18,000,00)
Driver: Hulkenberg (£8,000,00)

Overall: £46,000,00

I look forward to forgetting that I've entered this until the month before the thing's over. Just like the fantasy football league.
