my local mall is goin to have a GT4 turney... with some really nice prizes..

a duo between nissan+sony..

u have 3 laps at Tsukuba using the stock 350Z Limited Edition...

fastest lap time is the winner...

right now i'm in the 1:03ish areas...

the fastest lap leaderboard section is down, so i have nothing to reference too..

how fast can YOU get or known someone to get on this track?

u think sub 1:00 is possible?

i'd like to know what i'll be up against before I go out there so i'm a little more "prepared"

ur guys input is appreciated

thanks :dopey:

If I were you , and had the copy already , I would pratice like hundred times before I went, just a thought.

I believe you can get 58 secs on that track. Just drive hard, and smart!

Bad Luck!! ( Just not to jynx you !! )

i hit around a 55 sec or so with my modded but not tuned yet evo vIII and a 53 with the impreza spec c so i dont know if u could really get down to a 58 on a stock powered z.

58 secs?!?!

that's like 5 secs gap... i'm no schmacher but i aint THAT bad..

if u crossed the finish line at 58 i'd just be somewhere in the straightaway...

:(

as anyone tried yet?

no oil changes?

cause right no im running no oil change and just turned off assists.

edit: ok after 10 laps best i've got so far is 1'03'267. i think i can maybe do 1'02'7 or just a tick lower. seems that left hander after the S's can be improved quite a bit and the first right turn as well.

its late so no more for now. oh, and is my time bad? lol. im curious i know im not that fast but i cant be that slow, or can i...

i can hit 1,00,00 with my 200hp '86 so of corse your good to go. just memorise the track, do a free run and do like 200 laps, and you will know it off by heart

In real life the STI Spec C does around 1.03 no way should a stock 350 touch a spec C on a trank of that nature (lots o tight corners and hard low speed accel)

What kind of tyres with does it run the 1.03?

Ok well I don't feel so bad anymore if everyone else is getting 1:02-1:03

ya totally stock

i went Arcade--->timetrial--->350Z LE--->tsukuba--->play

that's it...

keeping it comin guys.. lookin for more input and tips+hints..

the clock is ticking

i'll be trying some more later, now that i know its arcade mode and i wont put miles and lose any power from the Z.

good luck to you at the tourney.

Mate, some Really Good players racing, you can finish top easy mate, ask famine for a video or something to learn the best line from. 👍

1:02.369

I would consider myself fairly good at driving games, I have a few lap records in the top 10's, 5's and 3's on a few tracks on project gotham racing 2 on the xbox live leaderboards.

My tips:

> First off, if you get the chance, turn off the driving aids and use manual gears.
> I'm hoping that when you compete, they will give you at least part of the back straight and the last corner to get up to speed. If they do, go into the last corner a little wider so you can come out fast and tight to maximise your speed accross the finish line to make your flying lap as fast as possible.
> Keep quite tight going into the first corner. Theres a significant hump over on the left hand side of the track here, and if you drive over it, it can throw you completely off balance and send you wide, ruining your lap. Aviod it by keeping to the right.
> Try to take a straight as possible line through the S bend.
> Go a little wide into the last hairpin, to come out tight and fast and maximise your speed down the back straight.
> Brake early. This is the most important thing. Get all your braking work done early so you can power the rest of the way through the corner without having to coast off the throttle or tap the brakes. If you do end up doing this, you will ruin your rhythm through the corner and kill your exit speed.
> Try to be smooth.

Thats about it, hope it helps shave at least a few tenths off your time.

i just did a reference lap with S2 tires in a stock 350Z LE, the first lap, i got a 1.03.012, second lap, i got a 1.02.582 and i didn't even try a third lap......so i imagine your goal of a 1.02.7xx is attainable, just practice more....i used to watch Best Motoring DVD's so i got my lines from them racing on the real Tsukuba track

You should practice trying to drift on this circuit, it really helps you to learn the course, as you learn in a different way to how you would normally. I did this and i manage to get semi-decent lap times most of the time.
350z-1'04:631
It's not great, but it was unmodified and i only did 5 laps, and im using a DS2.
excuses, excuses

what tires did you use? in my post above, i got that 1.02.582 lap time on S2 tires, and i find it really hard to drift with sport tires when the car is stock
