If you have your heart set on the 2G's, it is VERY possible to do the 6-bolt engine swap into a 2G. This modefication is extremely common. If you were to buy a fully running 6-bolt engine, it will run you around $1,000 US. Its fully worth doing this swap than building the 2G 7-bolt. The 7-bolt engines in the 2G's are far inferior, and this is why you see alot more 1G's that are faster, granted you can get a 2G to go fast, but it takes more money. To do this engine swap, mods need to be done to the engine mounts, wiring harnesses, and the ECU, thats to say the least, there is alot to do but its not that hard of a swap. You can do searches on the internet and find alot about this. I recommend www.dsmtalk.com or www.buschurracing.com
