Hi all. I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow (to spend the holidays with my wife who lives there).
So here's a little christmas present for the community:

Get out your 3D glasses (red left eye and cyan right eye) and enjoy!

A useful website for 3D imagery (also methods other than the anaglyphs with glasses) is http://www.3dphoto.net/stereo/stereo.html

I hope this stuff will catch on in here, it's not hard to do!

Merry christmas and happy 2006!!!

EDIT: Here's a brief tutorial on how to make it:

You need two shots. One shot should be slightly to the right (or left, whatever order you prefer) of the other one.
But only use panning (moving only the position, not the direction, so that you stay parrallel to the background). This is kind of only possible in photo travel though...
When you have such two shots, edit them in a more advanced editing program (like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro). And then basically make an image with the red channel of the left eye shot, and the green and blue channels of the right eye shot.

 I thought it was a newbie who posted this and just said the cars were 3 dimensional haha Yeah, that's cool, I brought my glasses out and it actually worked. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you also !

If you can't find a pair of 3d glasses, cut out a CD sleeve and scribble on it with red and blue overhead pens. It doesn't work, but by the time you're finished doing that you'll probably have forgotten what you started for in the first place.

The pics look cool, but without a proper set of glasses they're hard to appreciate

You should of found a way to do 4D, yeah sure it might cost a bit of money. But it would be worth it.
