3k Dragging or 1 Mile

So I never see 3k or other distance drag lobbies anymore (never really ever seen them). I was wondering is anyone else interested in doing this? I might start opening up rooms and tuning days for this. This will give a new mix to dragging to Indy and a fresh start. If anyone is interested or want to start organizing drag days for varying distances just post below. I want to start having other drag events within the Drag racing community.
 
Ill open a room later for 3k runs........what do you usually run ff or fr?
 
All besides FF. LOL never tuned them?
 
You should give it a try their pretty fun once you get into them.
 
3k is pretty much dead now bar a few lone wolfs, im an ex 3k tuner along with about 40 other people. The problem was there was so much competition that people stared to leave and not run anymore due to bad mouthing i guess, i was in GME, Grease Monkey Engineering, if your still interested in 3k tuning i can give you the names of the people who still run over there, but there the best of the best so it wont be easy beating them.
 
I can get my self there. Same concepts as 1/4 tuning. LOL

3k is nothing like 1/4 tuning, its completely different in every way nearly lol 3k its alot harder to learn.
 
Higher flip pojnt. Or reverse flip. You set the car up fpr top end speed rather than launching. What I meant though was that i could adapt to it with some practice. Not being perfect right away LOL.

Could you tell me names of guys that still do it? Lke their PSN names so i could join?

Well i havent really been on in about 3 months but if i do get on it mainly 1/4, iv done everything i need and ant to on 3k
 
I also noticed everyone stopped D2, I do miss the good ole days with all of you.
 
Mostly everyone switched to 1/4, only a few still do 3 or 10k besides the select few d24 mentioned. Most people find 3k tuning very different and difficult when coming from indy and easily get discouraged when after hours of tuning the still get pulled a few cars. Short indy transmissions are very easy to make. 3 and 10k is where a real challenge arises. Its not so focused on treeing, at these distances you can see a great tune pull around someone even if they get the tree on you. To me 1k or more should be your focus if youd like a new challenge.
 
That would sound interstiung but I need to get people to start doing it with me also. I want to get the community back into it.

Yeah bro i miss the good old days too when everyone just raced for fun and not bickering and arguing ay, times changed i guess.

Yeah but that was nothing compared to what was said on the track bro, some bad things were said even involving peoples familys sometimes.
 
True, things could get pretty hairy back then.
 
There are only about 20 guys left who are on a decent level in 3k tuning. Not including me, I simply have no time anymore since I joined the army.
 
I never see any lobbies though. It is haarder so it seems like more fun but no one does it.
