For those interested, I've compiling a list of all the 3rd party commercial cockpit/simulators on the market and currently have a list here:

http://www.freewebs.com/raymejr/forums/GTPlanet/index.htm

The list contains the following information:

* Cockpit "Name"
* Seller and/or Name of Distributor selling the item
* Their respective URL/home page
* Pricing, including but not limited to:
A. US Dollars
B. Euros
C. Austrailian Dollars (?)

I know the majority of GTP members would much rather 'build their own', but for those of you out there that neither have the tools > skill set > or time to tackle such a chore and would rather just 'buy one', then here's a your one-stop-shopping list...to say the least...for the time being, this list is half completed. I'll try and add more when the time permits, as I do have a running list that also references such setups like "Playseat" and "Virtual GT".

Hopefully once all is said and done, this info can become a 'sticky' at some point in the future for everyone's reference.

Thanks,

SimRaceDriver

EDIT: Updated List to include:

* Virtual Performance Race Rack Professional
* SimWorld Home Racer

Hey man this thread was a big help in comparing the differents types, sizes, shapes, configurations and prices of the cockpits. I spent a ton of time and only found a three of those on my own, you just saved me another afternoon, thanks man!

No problem! Glad someone saw a use for it here on GTPlanet! :D

Superb Thread, this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you!

Btw, is there anything similiar to this thread but regarding Steering wheels? I wasn't sure if you might have something up your sleeve.

Check out this thread here...however, I beleive it's only confirmation of what wheels work with GT4....Though I would take a gamble and say that most, if not all, 3rd party wheels would fit on most of the cockpits on my list.. :D

Thank you. I have seen that one and have subsequently subscribed to it.

What I am most interested in finding out is what wheel works the best(has the best feel) and looks good too.

Thank you.

The best wheel(s) to use are the existing Driving Force Pro...as well as the newly released G25...
