Shame it didn't work but nice try!

When i did this i let them have 1 hours head start so i reduced it to a 3hr endurance which eased the pain. Also i had something to really fight for which made it far more enjoyable. I often gave the leader a cheeky bump off the track every time i unlapped myself:)

👍 for the cheeky bump!

I'm running this race now (legitimately). I'm about two hours in now. I've been using my wheel and my back and butt are tired/sore.

Interesting thing about this race is: Pit lane is "blocked" with cones. I drove over the cones to pit at about 45 minutes and got worried because the pit crew didn't show up. My Miata was just sitting there. But after 20 seconds, I had new tires and a full tank. Odd little bug.

The actual entrance to the pits at Tsukuba is on the right side of the track just as you begin the final long sweeping right-hander, not after you have already gone around the final right turn.

Its interesting that your car stopped in the pits for tires and fuel, because in GT4, usually the car would drive thru the pits at the pit limited speed, and it would not get any tires or fuel (you had to go around again and re-enter the pits at the correct entrance point).

While driving at Tsukuba in the long endurance races I would sometimes intentionally hit the cones that you mention, but tried not to enter the pits. I would then get to cone punt the cones for a few laps to enhance the entertainment value of Tsukuba!

Another interesting anomaly about Tsukuba's pit entrance is that if you enter it at too high a speed, the "Star Trek" tractor beam can not take over your car and you can sometimes get spit back out onto the track and miss the pit entrance.

I will have to give your pit entrance a try and see what happens for me.

That's awesome that I missed the correct entrance entirely... and that it still worked for me. :dunce: Thanks for your reply. I may not have ever figured that out.

No you can't. Where is 172 laps or 4 / 9 / 24hours you have to finish first to win car / cash / exp points.

But !!! You don't have to drive all that time. For example, if race has 172 laps or last 9 hours then just drive for like 2 hours in fast car like FGT or even faster X2010, during your ride you will overlap your opponents many times. And then just park the car somewhere on the track for two hours. After that time opponents will close the gap and overtake you so you will start your race after 4 hours of driving but having six hours already on the clock. Do that again and again. Until time reach 0 or you will finally race 172 laps.

You will not receive any reward for finish last. There is trophy called Complete Endurance Race but you have to complete 1st

Except he did. If you don't know the answer don't give the answer.

We won't say anything about the quasi-mods above for fairly obvious reasons, but again, if you don't know the AUP, don't try and cite the AUP.

As I said, I've not encountered a race where you get nothing for coming last - or where you get a different amount of XP for doing things differently and finishing in the same place. However, since I've not done the endurance races yet, I can't say for sure that this is always the case. The test seems to show that, in fact, it is.
That is my observation as well Famine. In an Endurance it does not matter how many laps you do, you get the same XP for the win (and that is also confirmed by others advising on the same XP and yet we have been using different cars and must have completed a different number of laps).

guys just want to ask are the fuels affecting the speed ? i.e if less fuel = faster

Not in my experience of the 4 hour roadster, seemed to lap no faster with no fuel as full fuel.

Thanks for clarifying this and saving me the trouble of experimenting myself. I had the theory when I got trounced in NASCAR, for some reason I decided to keep going to try and learn the tracks and car. I did the whole series and only won at Indy and finished last at all the others. I still gained some decent XP finishing last, it made me complete races I had lost as it was more efficient than quitting and having another go.

I figured the same might apply to the endurance series but I guess not!

Yes it affects you speed. Less fuel = less weight = faster laps.

That's based on five Grand Valley 300KM races done so far with different cars.
