Is it really 4 hours exactly? or is it a certain number of laps?

The race ends after 4 hours. You may have to finish the lap you're on, but it won't be much longer than 4hr.

Tell him to wait 1.5hrs because you are at least halfway done with the race. You could always let Bob do the race when you're sleeping, eating, whatever.
