Anyone ever find one? I seem to find them everywhere I go. I had about 15-20 of them that I recently got framed including one 5-leafer. And just yesterday I found 6 more. Its kinda weird because I will just be walking along, look down and be like "oh look, another 4 leaf clover."

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the highest number of leaves found on a clover has been eighteen.

The world record for most 4 leaf clovers goes to a prisoner who collects them from the prison yard. He has over 72,000 of them.

Four leaf clovers are not that uncommon. For every 10,000 three leaf clover, there's a four leaf clover. It's a simple mutation, which can yield, like was pointed out, up to 18 leaves. I found a five leaf clover once at school. But naturally, the four leaf clover gets all the fame. Most likely because the four leaves mean something.

According to legend, on a four-leaf clover, each leaf stands for something. One leaf symbolizes hope, one is for faith, another for love, and the fourth is, of course, for luck.

I've found one.

It was when I was at school many years ago. There was a certain patch on the school field that I would search through for them. Eventually, I found one, and gave it to some older kids that were about to leave school. At the time, I didn't realised they were a bunch off a**holes, so it went to waste.

Certainly a rare find in my experience.

Somebody bought me one in a glass jar, when I was a kid. I haven't seen another one, since. :guilty:

He must be the luckiest man alive. No wait...

I thought for years that they were rare/didn't actually exist/government conspiracy, but they're aren't really. I know someone who can just look at a patch of clovers and pick out a 4 leafed one.

I was told (years and years ago) that there's always one 4-leaf clover in a patch, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.

I think I've seen two in my entire life.

I found a couple as a kid and without looking too hard as well. Sometimes I used to cheat and tear one of the leaves so it looked like a 4-leaf. Worked surprisingly well. :-)

I've found a few. They're like wishing on a shooting start (which are also common), or thinking that breaking a mirror is bad luck. It's not particularly uncommon, but it has a little ritual about luck associated with it.

That being said, obviously rabbits feet are UNlucky. I mean, comeon. That rabbit that had its foot chopped off was obviously unlucky, and it had 4.

I don't know what plant it is, but it has leaves that kinda look like clover leaves and all of them have 4 leaves.

I used to think I was the luckiest 8 year old in the world with my magical powers of finding these "4 leaf clovers".

Espically if you drive for the Renault F1 team.

Never really looked for 4-leaf clovers, although I remember finding one at junior school.

I can't remember ever seeing a four leaf clover. Actually, I haven't seen any clovers in years. I can't even remember where the last patch I saw was. That sucks.

Was it this stuff? It's called dichondra. We had this all over the place at our old beach house.

I think I have only seen a couple 4 leaf clovers in my life, I am sure I'll see another, especially hanging out with the Irish crowd : )

one yaer whenever i look i find one.... but i dont look that much, over the years i have found like7 or 8. i heard that for every Average clover patch there is atleast one 4 leaf clover

Thats pretty awesome man, somehow I have never seen one in real life...

Nice collection indeed. Way to hog the rare clovers. No wonder I couldn't find one. j/k

I've only seen a couple while walking around, but last year at the "Ripley's Believe it or Not" museum I walked through 3 rooms that were completely covered in a womans collection of 4 leaf clovers. I forget how many there were, but I rubbed myself all over the walls just for that little extra bit of luck (and because I was drunk and couldn't walk properly).
