458 challenge wheel problem

Sometimes when I plug in the standard wheel the calibration stuffs up and returns the wheel off centre. This is easily remedied by repositioning it, holding down select + start and the little black button on the left of the base.

However I just realised the 458 challenge wheel has its select and start buttons placed in the manetino switch. Does anyone know of a trick to recalibrate it?

I had that issue when I got my T500 RS, you'll have to put the GT wheel back on it to recalibrate it.

That doesn't seem like a long term solution, OP. If you're doing what I think you are: reflashing the center calibration, the Thrustmaster manual says there's a limited amount of flashes you're allowed. So I'd be careful with doing that too many times.

Sounds like corporate speak to me. I've done it over a hundred times. Maybe if they made a wheel which could calibrate itself properly, then there would be no need to do it.

I would agree with you, but historically, it's always been said that Flash ROMs have a limited amount of writes. You're right, though, maybe limited means something like 10,000 or so. I have no idea on that.
