5 Way shootout

Recently had my DFGT die and while getting it warranteed, I decided to look at upgrading. Read lots here but wanting the best info I could find to make a decision I found that Simraceway has been doing video shows which include pretty decent shootouts of various simware including the Fanatec 911 turbo S, GT3(?) DFGT, G-27 and TM F-430.
Go to simraceway website and you'll see their videos listed on the right side, youll have to index to like page 4 approx to find episodes 52 ad 53 which have part 1 and 2 of the shootout in the second half of the show. I'm sure others will decide on Fanatec gear but after the shootout it sounds like the G-27 is for me and the DFGT will be sold or used for 2 on 2 racing


I see the simraceway also has a forcefeed back buyer guide now too on the homepage.

dont take my experience as typical, while I made no attempt to break it, I cut it no slack and may have inadvertently abused it(thought the power was unplugged when it may not have been) doing donuts. Far as I can tell heat is the only real issue with the DFGT and only in GT5, so some folks feel it overheats after continuous play. For me no big deal as I know the heat is the motor and there are no end of addon heat sinks for the Mabuchi (sp?) 550 class motor used in these. So I'm planning on popping the upper cover(already done that, its just has screws) and slamming on a sink.
