Got a 1:17.5xx with the GSX-R, I was at #99 for a bit. I didn't really tune it up much, added a wing and worked on the gears. This was fun, I'm going to plug in some tunes and see what I can do.

Same here, 1.17 something for 90th was 92nd by the time I'd loaded the rankings. Definitely some more time to be had with a better setup. I put together my own rudimentary tune which I'm starting to get a bit better at. Good fun.

A simple 1000kg minimum weight limit could have made this event interesting, but no, most likely another GSX fest.
Well it does fit in the bracket if you consider it a "normal" car. Tuner cars not allowed and since the GSX was only a concept "vision" car maybe shouldn't be either.

Using a '96 RX-7 so far but still 0.23 secs off gold. Tuned up Integra DC-5, 350Z, Genesis '13, Subaru Imprezas all slower.

A detuned R390 and uptuned NSX Type R '02 finally did routine 1:21s. That left right ess before the hairpin and hairpin itself are still problem areas losing a lot of speed. I only brake three time, main straight, entrance to tunnel complex and hairpin approach. Lift slightly at entry to the long ess, feather throttle around the bowl and lift before short ess. Other than that pretty well full throttle.

Try using maximum ballast 150-200kg and don't use weight reduction.

You want to be around the 250bhp/800kg area.

Plus, stick a wing on it.

I see there's 2 Brazilians in the top10 again

Edit: I just checked now and mine's got a bit of mileage on, running 250bhp @ 794kg with a stage 1 weight reduction and 186kg ballast.

One thing I did notice was my PP level was going down whilst I was running.
Maybe it was just on the cusp of dropping power due to the mileage but as it's only at around 400km I'm pretty sure something weird is going on.

Used a dumbed down (power limited) LFA Nurb. edition.
Think I had racing exhaust on there as well (forgot to take it off honestly)
I did 1:20:5's in it. Much more satisfying than the 🤬 suzuki...:D

Haven't tried anything else yet as the event was posted when I was in the LFA...

Check the condition of the motor in the pit-stop place maybe? How many km's has the car done?

It was 300-400km when it started happening.

I'd do a few runs/attempts, go back into the settings to adjust something and that's when I noticed my PP levels were down and I had to adjust them back up to 500pp.

Never had it happen before so I thought it was a bit strange, maybe a bug with the TT or something.

It seems to have stabilised now though.

Have you done an oil change on the car? Oil changes usually last 300-400km and then the boost you get from an oil change begins to decrease, thus lowering your hp and pp

Please do. Was looking at my own Skyline and wondering if I shouldn't give it a spin.

I turned off my PS3 and the setup was gone :( I can try to replicate it if you really want...

k, I did a few test laps and did 1:20,429 with this setup:

the car is Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur (R34) '02 - the setup should work with other R34s though, as they only differ in power I think

Tyres: CS
500pp
380hp
1401kg
55:45 weight distribution

Suspension: Fully adjustable
82/82
9,86/8,98
5/5
5/5
3/3
0,0/0,0
-0,38/-0,25

Brakes: Sports
6/5

Gearbox: Fully adjustable - 260km/h automatically adjusted

LSD: Fully adjustable
8/8
40/45
25/20

Triple plate clutch, upgraded drive shaft
Sports ECU, upgraded exhaust manifold, sports cat
power limited to 98,5%

weight reduction stage 1, lightweight bonnet

Downforce: -/30

gold is done easily, be wary though that the car is very oversteer-ish at 1st and 2nd gear

Try adding ballast and getting your power up to around 250bhp. :)

If you look through the archives of these threads you should be able to find a 500pp Gsxr tune, good luck

I had a lot of fun with a stock NSX Type R '02 at 468pp just love the way it drives on comfort sorts, you really get a feel for it moving around and not to mention some lovely controllable slides, simply fantastic car :D

Easy gold but I carried on for a while to just enjoy the car!
