All kinds of Subaru and Mitsubishi EVO being used, I had silver with a EVO X but it felt too heavy, a 22B '98 made gold. That last corner is deceiving as car seems to slide outwards no matter what. Also, use the grassy edges !

used my '07 GTR and gold first time out. Did not even set the car up to run on dirt.

RS6 Avant 02 is a bit heavy . Handling is pretty tight, but not sure if I'll be able to improve by over a second for gold, 1:55.184.

tried it in Evo IX, had to change the settings from racing tarmac to rally gravel, after some fiddling did an easy 1:52,5

Currently on 700th with a bit complex but simple S206 tune after 7 laps

EDIT: Here's the proof

Both Transmission and Body parts are untouched whatsoever.

Just like the snow drift, i bought me a new Impreza WRX STI '07 hatch.
my first full lap was a 1:52,975.Uploaded the clip to youtube and took a break.
Then remembered that using the side of the track give's you more grip.
did it again and after three laps i got a 1:49,611.
I'm happy with that.

I thought I was really good until I found you guys a couple hears back

I will try a Subaru I guess, could someone respond to this post so I can see if my email is working, thanks

Tried to use my Fiat 500, couldn't go fast enough. Wish they'd sort out the FWD physics, every time you try to get the back end to step out you get phantom understeer that stops it. Ended up with the using the Evo X which did it pretty easily.

Pfff this is a tough one, just under 1:58 with the S206 after a few laps and the tune from the screenshots above, clearly rally isn't my thing even though its kinda fun.

I don't really have the patience to do this with trial and error for several hours so if anyone knows a good rally car and tune for it to get this done please let me know. I'd like to get the gold and move on.

for those that can't get the gold, I can post my Evo IX GSR tune, with which I did a pretty easy 1:52,5ish time.. but I'm leaving tomorrow morning so if you guys want it you gotta tell me now :D

Heck yes, please! What exactly is the car so I can go buy it and not get the wrong one?

And your tuning, please.

k, so the car is Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR '05, and here's my setup:

Tires: Dirt ofc
Suspension: Fully Customised
Brakes: Racing
Gearbox: Fully Customised
Fully Customised LSD, Triple Plate Clutch, Carbon Shaft, standard differential
Mid-range turbo, sports intake, sports cat - power limited to 98.5%
Stage 1, 2, 3 weight reduction, lightweight hood, light windows

suspension setup:
105mm/105mm
5,53/6,09
2/2
2/2
4/4
0,0/0,0
-0,3/-0,15

brakes:
7/6

Gearbox: 200km/h automatic

LSD:
7/8
50/50
30/25

once again - I'M NOT A PRO at this, so don't laugh.. it's just a setup I used, and with 2 mistakes still made gold.. I recommend driving with two right or two left wheels of the track, gets you more grip actually

have fun!

I really don't like the corner cutting. But once again, oh well.

S206 Subby, race suspension set full soft, 3 for sway bars, camber and toe zeroed, 50:50 diff. Race exhaust it, then detune a few.

Should be easier to drive. Listen for grip. Keep it tight. Don't slide. Like Loeb taught us in his challenges.

Haha, you're about two seconds back JH. And that's just from me, who is 4.5 half back from #1!

I'm in the 45s. I think I cut a few a little... :irked:

yeah, actually, screw it - cut the corners as much as you can, through the grass on the side - I just got a second better time easily, and there is plenty of seconds there to shave
