Hey guys, long time racer here. Had to sell my last rig due to needing money. I Started off with a DFGT back in when GT 5 Prologue released. I bought both the same day. Had the DFGT for about 3 years, then "upgraded" to a CSR Elite, which I never liked at all. I had that wheel for about 2 years, and never got used to it. Always wish I had kept my DFGT, but in my stubbornness to try and like the CSR Elite, especially after spending the money on it, I just kept it.

Anyways, I sold my CSR a little over a year ago and my wheel stand due to needing money. Thankfully the money situation is better and I'm going to build another rig. The target budget is what I listed and I'll be buying stuff piece by piece from now till Christmas, that's the plan anyways. I plan on playing GT7, when it comes out on my PS4 and Iracing on my PC, so I need a wheel that is compatible with both. Thinking between the TS300 and TS500 from thrustmaster. For the first time in my sim career, I'm thinking of getting something along of the lines of:

My questions come really which wheel would be better for my needs/budget, and cockpit recommendations. Thanks for the replies.

If you plan on doing some PC racing, the Obutto is a nice seat. If iRacing had decent graphics and prices, I'd probably go with that Obutto setup too. I'm choosing the T300RS wheel because A) I'll be on the PS4 exclusively B) the brushless motors 'should' last longer and won't wear down as it heats up C) I have full menu control of the PS4 (I don't want to use a KB+M that will always in my way) and D) static paddle shifters are not something I want to 'get used to'.

When I had my CSR Elite wheel, I was going to use a PC for PCars (was also assuming I could use it on the PS4) and I was looking at the Obutto too, but then I remembered all the PC issues that arise when racing with a PC, so I chose PS4 and I'll be getting an RSeat this x-mas hopefully.

If I had that budget, and was looking new, oZone + T300RS would be my choice. The oZone at $399 is the best rig for the buck hands down, and the T300RS is the ONLY PS4 FFB wheel on the market right now, and it's also $399... so after tax and shipping you will probably be somewhat over $900, but you will be quite ready for GT7!

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. Really excited to be back into it.

oZone owner here, can't go wrong with that rig, and am currently waiting on my T300 to come in as well, currently using a G27.
