I still don't get why PD included the standard cars.

Thank God they did. The cars I drive the most are the R5 Turbo and the 205 T16. Standard definition is much better than nothing at all. I'm not complaining.

I liked the Mk. IV because it showed me how much technology has come to pass.👍

Then I hopped back into my 908 because the Mk. IV was slow for my tastes.:)

I still don't get why PD included the standard cars. They've caused nothing but confusion and complaints about them. What's even more incredible is that some people actually like them. I've never even looked their way except for the races where you have to use 'em, simply because they look and sound almost as bad as in GT4.
I like them... no, wait, I love them. I get inspired to drive cars by the drive of them, not just their looks. I suppose I'm very partial since I use the bumper cam... and I don't think any of them look or sound particularly bad.

Because 200 cars total would have angered people more than 800 cars that are a bit wonky.
👍

That GT40 is an amazing car, weighs nothing and is extremely quick through all the gears.
Yup, the car has been one of the best since it trounced the field at Red Rock on GT5. One of the few actual challenges in the first few editions.

And that'll be the end of the standard versus premium complaints for me.

i was really pissed because i bought this car on GT PSP just so i could transfer it over only to find out you can only use the car in Arcade mode. Only thing cool about it is that you can get some of the cars in different colors e.g FTO touring car comes in like 6 colors.

Not enough :tup:s in the world to agree. The standard cars don't sound terrible like most people like to repeat (not all of them look as bad as people say either), I love the sound of most of them, particularly the older the car the better. I didn't want to use standards at first because of no cockpit view, but went on ahead anyway because they're unique cars. In the end, standards were an afterthought to the level of detail that PD was using for the cars we call Premiums. When Kaz figured out there weren't going to be that many detailed cars, he added the standard division.

I wish I had that damn gt40. I've been obsessed with that car since that one driving test with it on gran turismo 3. I think it was the Detroit circut, I just remember the train tracks, o almost blew my load every time I went peeling over them

It's a shame to see that the Ford GT40 Race Car wasn't a premium car in GT5, but I was also disappointed that they didn't bring back the Road version of the car. The last time they featured it was GT3 and I always thought it was a nice ride. I would have been good to see it back into the game. I have tried recreating it by changing stats but it's just not the same :(

The GT40 is certainly one of the cars that should be premium.

+25, the classic Lola-built supercar is one of the most legendary supercars England has turned out. I wonder if they'll ever add a Mk III GT 40?
(Mk III being the aforementioned ROAD version of the GT40, of which only 7 were built if I remember correctly.

Indy 500 a spec if I'm nor mistaken. And making the car premium won't change its line of sight, just give it something to fill the void

I thought you got the Jaguar xj-13 :(

Correct.
Indy 500 A-spec Jaguar XJ13.
Indy 500 B-spec Ford GT40 Race Car '69.

Thank you. *relieved*

Great i get to watch my bob be smashed while he's driving a X2010

Just like to add a 1967 ticket will give you the Muira,Ford MKIV and the Ferrari P330, That will complete the classic bunch.

Go trade for the ticket and dupe to another acc. Send back doing game saves and 1 ticket will give you all 3 if you cycle it 👍

Ahhhh yes, It is, although it wasn't named that in GT3. It would be great to see it reintroduced. 👍

You don't know what you're missing!

Zonda LM, Diablo LM, McLaren F1 LM, Honda NSX GT500 cars, Zonda 7.3, etc. The list goes on....

I dont have access to my ps3 right now, but someone should do a comparo for all of the ford gt cars to see where the old ones stand in comparison to the new ones.

The 69 is great for a prize car, but i dont find myself driving it very often.

Deserves to be Premium. And I'm wishing that some day they bring the GT40 MKII Road Version back like in GT2 and GT3. That car was one of the best "street" supercars in both games.

What track would you like it on?
