Must be the V6 Berlinetta. That rear wing is too small. :sly:
 
It kinda reminds me of the rear end of the current Camaro's rear end.
 
I hate that midline in the back. Eww. And the light housings look like they're going to throw Dodge Avenger headlamps in it.
 
I'm definitely getting the feeling that Bumblebee was the indicator of where they were going...

I never did understand the switch to this taillight shape. Is this supposed to harken back to something? It just looks weird and lazy. The separate taillights of the pre-facelift model were so much better and appropriate.
 
It's odd how anything that isn't a one off insane thing, a Cadillac, or a Corvette, or a race car related thing always ends up ugly or dreadfully boring from GM...you'd figure the same design department was being used but apparently not.

Some of their stuff looks like it simply wasn't designed at all. Like a 12 year old just drew the general shape of the average car. Check this out:

Now, the Jeep will undoubtedly be more expensive but they're basically the same size, they're both AWD, they're both meant to be entry-priced cars into the brand. But effort was put into designing the Jeep so it looks like a Jeep while the Chevy just looks like...a car.

Honestly, the new tail lights have grown on me, its the front that still doesn't quite sit right with me. But, seeing as how you can still get the ZL1 with the old front and the new rear, I honestly think its the best-looking of the modern Camaros at the moment.

Corporate styling can work really well (Ford), or it can turn out terribly. Part of the problem with Chevrolet at the moment is that they have too many legacy designs in the fleet, further muddling their style choices. The all-new Malibu, Spark, Volt, and Camaro will set the tone after what the Corvette and Impala started, and everything else will play catch-up with minor styling tweaks and upgrades until an all-new model shows up. I think the problem I have most with the Chevy language right now is that it really doesn't make a ton of sense. I don't know where the look came from, and I'm having a hell of a time telling where its going. It works well on some, and badly on others. The new Malibu looks downright strange in pictures, but it may look much better in person (that was the case with the Volt). But the Trax? That one's a legacy design.

Cashing in on the surprise success of the Buick Encore with a cheaper model, basically. The Trax has been on-sale internationally for quite some time, and has been a very popular vehicle in Korea, where they are assembled. It fills a nice niche, and if you need a cheap 4WD vehicle, it can fit the bill. But, the Renegade makes more sense for car people - the Trax works for everyone else.

Well they did a piss-poor job of it. Those old taillights are clearly split horizontally with a chrome line and vertically into three sections. The overall shape and the LED lighting of the new Camode's lights have none of those features, plus a dumb little bump in the bottom which is nonsense. It doesn't communicate any heritage whatsoever, completely unlike the Challenger and Mustang which are both instantly recognizable as their namesakes.

I don't know, when I saw them they looked like old Camaro lights to me.

They still did a piss poor job at it just because of how different the rear end treatment is between the two cars, but it's not as far off as the model YSSMAN posted implies.

I also dont care much for the rear of the new Camaros. Especially the tail lights. The bumblebee tail lights look really bad.

Maybe the 2016 Camaro rear will turn out better.
 
Round taillights should have stayed. They're the best.
 
Hmmmmm....well errrrr.....it's a thing. I mean...hmm...it isn't ugly, but it isn't as good looking as the previous one. Maybe it is on par...I'm not really sure about this...thing.
 
Looks alright. Holding off full judgment until I see it in person, same as I did with the Mustang or other new cars.
 
Hmmm, I'm guessing GM is going for evolutionary design like on the Porsche 911. I mean, it just looks so similar to the outgoing Camaro design.
 
It barely looks any different. To the casual observer not used to seeing them day in, day out.
 
Okay now that I've given myself some time to think....this new design is a piece of 🤬. It's uglier than ever.

GM...PLEASE STOP TRYING.
 
hahaha, this thing. GM could have saved the expense of "redesigning" it.
 
It may not look much better (I prefer the current '15 model year refresh to these new pics above) but it should be significantly lighter and faster than the outgoing model.
 
Even if it weighed 500lbs less it still is awful looking.

THE LEXUS RC-F LOOKS BETTER. :boggled:
