I though I'd ask the expertise of our collective forum members concerning this.
FIrst of all, we all know that "people" (whoever that may be) say that 720p (or 1080P) is better for moving frames. I do not have the expertise to support this claim, instead I just chose to believe it
As I was playing the demo of GT5P, I noticed jagged edges when panels are connected on the car models. One can clearly see this when suing a blue subaru. I thought, just for fun, I'd change the resolution to 1080i (that's the highest resolution my tv supports) and behold...the jagged edges were not as obvious as before.
Great work i thought, but then I remembered those same "people"saying that 1080i isn't that great for moving frames...
I myself did not notice and problems or malfunctions concerning the frame rate...I was wondering if it is really such a bad idea to run the game at 1080i, because there is a difference with 720p.
on a side not, there is a way to get rid of those jagged dges in 720p; all you have to do is reduce the sharpness...obviously, I did not do this, because I like my game to be sharp, as do the rest of you I imagine.
