Really after what he did last year? Really?
Really. And if you are talking about what happened with the Corvette it was two years ago (2010), not last year.
Meanwhile, I also found this nice video from Level 5 Motorsports. Shame they didn't end, better luck next year!
And I've just checked the final classification. Not sure if it's already posted in the thread (does not show up in the OP) so if Furinkazen wants to add this there, just copy and paste the link!
Couple of interesting notes, regarding the excellent Corvette win in the GTE Am category (Lamy's car, hence my personal interest):
They finished 20th overall, right after the 3 podium finishers in the GTE Pro class (these finished 17th, 18th and 19th)
They completed 329 laps, only 4 down on 3rd GTE Pro car (Aston Martin - 333 laps completed)
They were the best Corvette in the final standings (next was the official #73 car, classified in 23rd position, with 326 laps completed)
And their best lap (the 313th, done by Lamy, in that awesome final stint), was only about 2 seconds shy of the best laps made by the official GTE Pro Corvette teams.
GTE Am #50 Corvette - 3'58.534
GTE Pro #73 Corvette - 3'56.216
GTE Pro #74 Corvette - 3'56.835
I guess the Larbre Competition guys must be happy with what they have achieved.
Yeah I saw that from Autosport's twitter account. Very cool idea, but I have yet to watch any if them.
No I was talking about last year when he actively admitted blocking the Audi by cutting its nose off when he was laps down then deleted the comments off twitter when he got a load of abuse on twitter for it.
What Davidson did last year was not a big deal.
It was the other Peugeot that was out of line with the lead Audi.
And that is somehow thats worse then what Franck Montagny did?
Just found this Flickr account for Nissan Racing. Some EPIC photos from the Le Mans weekend. Recommended! All photos are sized for months of desktop wallpaper shuffling.
Nice find, thanks!
I'll share also 2 interesting links here.
1 - Audi's official video recap of this event and race
2 - The Nissan Hotel at Le Mans (in french, if you can read this language don't miss this. Amazing ...)
All 2 of them.
(but limited to Nissan...)
2? More like 20
Sorry, only saw the 2 links on that page, didn't see the 1 of 20 under the photo.
Ah. I see, some cool photos though.
Cool photos and videos. Thanks Nissan and Audi.
Thanks, was looking for some good desktop photos.
Nice writeup from Oliver Gavin
Radioleman, have a round up of the race tonight, starts at 8pm GMT
Edit. NOT TONIGHT I'll up-date when.
4 hours of onboard video with #1 Audi R18 e-tron
That super close call with the stranded Corvette sent my chest going omg what an amazing save! I don't remember hearing about this during the race at all!
Click on this link to get right to it:
WOW! I knew it was coming and still my heart skipped a beat!
I thought this photo was funny.
"What is that thing?"
So, how much for the Pointed arrow thingy? Oh and I'll have that Porsche too.
He took it home!!
(Spotted this when I was walking back to my car, looks alot like the Dunlop-ad car)
I think that's Topgear's home built version of the Deltawing.
Wrong thread. Sorry.
Topgear? They got andy Saunders to make a replica to drive to le mans. Send the picture to topgear!
Yep, just look at a few posts above yours.
I put a link in now. So it's different.
