'89 corvette anyone?

My dad plans to buy a 1989 c4 corvette, its up for $7500 and has about 120k on it.

I was wondering if anyone knows a good web site or has some more information on this year, like the ups and downs, I would really appreciate it.

If your dad decides to get it...👍. I've always been very fond of the C4. It just looks so much more raw than the C5 (and C6 for that matter).

If you Wiki it, that might help. Generally speaking, youre probably going to expirience the same problems most Corvette owners face. Quirky electronics, somewhat shoddy build quality (depends on who built the car on what day). Other than that, the driveterrain should be pretty solid, so there souldnt be too many problems there.

I'm not too sure how long these problems lasted (in terms of model years), but the early C4 Corvettes had two rather well-known problems -
1. Injection - The C4 Corvettes tried something called Cross-Fire Injection, which apparently had some bugs in it in the early years.

2. Electronic Dash - The dash was apparently all-electronic (digital gauges, etc). These are known to have problems. Again, I'm not sure how long these dashes lasted for (Just a few model years, or all the way through the C4 run).
