subs- jackhammers 1000 12in
amp-i thinking its Boston acoustics 2500

So i just ran some subs for s friend of mines using the stock head unit and the converter.. so i spliced it into the the factory head unit into the rear speakers. and ran the wire all the back to the amp.. and all the wires work fine the amp comes on but the subs wont turn on.....

but it says on the converter if the subs dont turn on ground the converter to the amp.. so i did that and still nothing happens... i checked everything and its legit but the subs dont come on...

any ideas??:nervous:

Its the piece u use if your radio dont have rca wires in the back so that u can send sound to the amp

Ah makes more sense. The problem is that even though the amp is getting power, it may not be getting the stereo signal. Are there normal speakers hooked up to the rear speaker wires in addition to the converter? If not, then is the fade set to where the rear speakers would be getting some sound? Do you have a link for the converter at all (or something similar)?

Maybe what's happened, if you have crimped into them is the connector has gone straight through one of the wires.
What about the ignition cable for the amp? Though I don't really know if you say the amp works then it must be getting power and earthed...unless its the converter itself that's faulty.
