99% game completion issue

Hi so not sure if anyone else is having this issue

ive completed all b spec events and championships to gold
ive completed all a spec events and champoinships to gold, except nascar championship to silver

Ive completed all licences to bronze and above

but still only on 99% everywhere on the net I have been told you need to complete A and B spec and Licences to a minimum of bronze to get the game completion up to 100%, Am I missing something?
 
Have you done the special events?

I thought 100 percent was getting gold on everything actually but I'm not so sure how accurate that is, so take it with a grain of salt.
 
Im half way through special events but have been advised that they are not included in the game completion percentage

Sorry UrieHusky but that is not true at all. I have 100% completion but still have 11 events to get gold on. Not sure why it's only showing 99% if you have really completed everything though.

You need to get gold on everything to get 100% on your trophies but that is different to game completion.



Edit: Someone else may be able to confirm this but it might be because you haven't got gold on all the A spec and B spec races. Licence and special events don't count towards game completion.

I really can't win today =/ I haven't eaten anything because christmas/new years messes up my payment schedule so my brain isn't at it's best

Every source I can find is claiming you need to gold the license tests.. if that's not the case I've no idea what the threshhold is, because I have gold in everything else bar vettel and that first race of the tour (damned C8)

:lol: I know that feeling. I'm now as confused as you but my profile definitely says 100% complete and I know that I have 11 special events yet to get gold on. The Vettel challenges are amongst them in fact one I don't even have a bronze on.

Edit: I actually have 11 golds to get in both licence AND special events it's a pretty even split 6 to go in the licence and 5 to go in the special events

Like I said I can't find evidence that the Special Events contribute to anything outside of trophies.

I have a minimum of bronze on every single event in the game, gold in every race in both A and B spec but still 99 percent, I have a couple silvers in my license tests however and that's what the general consensus was when I searched around. But if you haven't achieved gold on your license tests and still have 100 percent then that sort of kills that argument.. maybe your garage comes into it? I really don't know..

I had been 100% complete for ages - and thats with 11 silver licences, Grand Tour silver, silver and bronze, Nascar Jeff Gordon silver and bronze. I needed to gold the Grand tour and licences in order to get the Gold Standard trophy.
 
Im a bit confused at why im on 99% maybe you have to have over a percentage of trophys as well, my trophy percentage is 62%

In licences I have mainly bronze a few silver and a couple gold could this be the reason?

I can't be sure but it may just be because you don't have all golds in the A and B spec races. I'm pretty sure the game progress percentage is not affected by the number of trophies or the type of medals you have on licence or special events.

Thats cool thanks for your help im gonna have to Gold the Nascar championship and see what happens otherwise i give up and im done lol

Did you get the prize car for this championship? Or is it that you've just not golded Daytona on this championship (I can get the championship and prize car, but best is silver on Daytona).

Not certain about this, but this could be the issue. I've found that if you win a championship but don't gold every event you still win the prize car, and if all events in a certain level e.g. Beginner/Amateur etc. you will get a level ticket for that difficulty level and that part of A or B-Spec is then complete.

Hope that does it for you and good luck, that was the last one that I got gold on too and I found it pretty hard.

BTW: You have to win those races in Championship mode. You will not clear the event if you just take the races one at a time :)
 
I've got a sneaking suspicion there may be a race or two I've skipped during championships due to lazyness that may be causing my 99% cap.. unfortunately my BOB is currently breaking in my S2000 in the Grand Valley 300km endurance race so I can't check.

Perhaps you've done the same thing Miami? could be worth checking

I found the championship was pretty easy in A-Spec except Daytona because on the last lap and last corner I always get overtaken across the finish line and miss out on gold by .00x lol. After completing the NASCAR special event I did find getting silver easier but the gold is tough.

On B-Spec my bob can do Daytona but I really find it annoying on Indy when he brakes on every corner! I have to babysit him constantly on that race. Off-topic maybe. But the championship is easy if you use the right tunes for oval and road alike. And be careful on the throttle coming out of the corners if you use a DS3.

I added an edit to my last post I suspect the problem may be that whilst he's actually done all the races he may not have done them in Championship mode which you have to do in order to get the full credit.

I started the race then sat behind the lead car right up till 3/4 of the way round the last bend then I dropped below him and got a nice slingshot to the line.

I've definitely won every single championship, but I'm now uncertain as to whether I did all of the races, if I skip a race in a championship for whatever reason I normally go back and do it later.

However, "Normally" isn't "always" so I'm going to check this ASAP.
 
That is odd. Ive had 100% Completion for some time on a main account. You might want to recheck A & B Specs to make sure they are all 100% Gold. I believe the License also counts towards the 100% completion but I did those from the beginning.

100% Trophy is for everything gold / platinum.

I found on here a good piece of advice. Because ASM is locked on and ABS cannot be turned off turning it up to 10 instead renders ASM useless and somehow this makes you go faster. After doing this I completed the final 2 laps of Daytona in the NASCAR Special event after a few attempts. Until now I could NEVER do it. But that worked.

Because ASM slows you down by putting ABS on 10 it somehow counteracts the effects of ASM. Weird I know but it worked.

Let's hope the OP can get that final 1% now!

I think platinum is every trophy. So all gold in everything plus all the other miscellaneous trophies like rollover b-spec trophies and the gt-r time on the ring etc.

Yes...my other account that got 100% trophy but that bar barely moves with A & B Spec. Was stuck at 88% till a week ago. It really only moves with all the rest of the trophy like you said.

Still 1% for him.....wonder if it is the license test?

I believe it could be. Just remember doing the Loob special event @ HotPeppah account and the Completion % bar did not move at all, only the trophy bar.

Yeah someone in an earlier post on this thread (can't remember who sorry) said that the Special Events don't count towards the 100% game completion.
 
To achive 100% you need a minimum bronze on every a/b-spec event and every licenses. I've got 99% and each race in a-spec or b gives you 0.5%. The races Im missing is the two last 24h endurance A-spec races.

I'm absolutely baffled then.. if you have definitely finished every championship and every individual race in both A and B spec with at least bronze in the license tests, I'm not sure what else there is.. everything else seems to have been disproven as a factor.

When you say that you have silver in the NASCAR series, do you mean that you came in 2nd place in the Championship?

I suspect that you should re-run the NASCAR Series and be sure to win all five races.

You could first check to see if you've won the prize cars, though I think that you can win the prize cars even if you don't win every race in the Series.

A-spec Pontiac Tempest LeMans
B-spec Mercury Cougar XR-7

If this doesn't get you to 100% then I would check the other race Series that are Championships, because you are likely to have missed a race in one. There are 10 Championships in A-spec and 10 Championships in B-spec, so you won't need to look in that many race Series.
