Its been a long wait since the last proper gran turismo game.

We have had all types of information being leaked out, rumours, confirmations, release dates, delays and everything in between. Now just a few days to go until probably one of the biggest gaming releases that i can remember (i have never been so hyped waiting for a game before!).

Throughout all of this, we could all count on the latest news and updates on this site. The threads have been good reading, with good ideas, banter and well thought views. The mods have been on top of things to stop boards being too cluttered, so thanks to them.

And thanks to Jordan, excellent site and blog, with all the news we could possibly want.

I'm still new to this forum, but I must say that Jordan, Amar and all involved in this are doing a great job. I've been following the development of GT5 on this site, and all the info, the leaks and and the threads regarding the game have been very useful and interesting.
So I want to thank you all, and keep this up!

What a damn long trip it's been .. Remember when we first heard of GT5? Remember when we heard it will have a Damage System? Uhh... Vision Gran Turismo .. from that day I kept dreaming dreaming and dreaming about GT5 .. but yesterday was the last day of dreaming about GT5 since I already got my copy but haven't played it .. just installed the game.

Remember how the news used to come and then started to get bigger and bigger when the first GT5 Demo showed up then it started to get boring with delays and lack of information from Sony ... suddenly .. BOOM! It's out in the market.

Hell, I don't even remember the first time I logged into GTPlanet .. I don't even know how I knew this website .. It was a long time though .. GT4 days.

It's kinda weird when you've been following GT5 for years and when you go buy yourself a copy, you meet customers who never knew a lot of information than you about the game .. I heard a customer "You sure this is not a demo like the one I bought before??"

Big thanks to Jordan, Mysterious Amar212, GT Surgeons and the whole Gran Turismo Planet ... I'm sure all of us had a big .. I mean really big discussion about GT5 .. I felt like we were talking about something that we cannot have it .... It's all over! No more dreaming! GT5 is ours!
 
Have to agree with all the comments in here. Further to Jordan, Amar, all the mods, i also like to aknowledge some of the great members of the forum too. They do a great job at creating original and interesting posts, and without them this place would be mighty boring.

Premium members, i'd appreciate it if you had a wee look in the infield, your vote is needed in a thread i recently created. :)

But also for the Forza boys and GT super critics, we appreciate the site the way it is, giving a balanced view without falling into extremes.

I've been a member for maybe 3 months and i have to say this is the best,most well run fan site i have been on.👍

I think this has been the most consistent amount of traffic this site has ever had and so far there have been very few crashes. Major props to Jordan and the whole GTPlanet team!

I can't quote every post, I had to pick one. ;)

It's hard to add to all this praise for a heck of a team. We're kind of like a family here, and like all families, we have bruised arms and knock-down drag-outs from time to time. But then we get back up and fellowship over this epic series, one of the best racing series of all time.

Jordan has been exemplary in managing the site. Amar has been awesome in calming troubled waters and bringing much coveted news. The board is handling traffic, the new mods are doing their jobs well, and puppies are sleeping peacefully around the world. Meanwhile... WHO CAN SLEEP! :lol:

Thanks J-man, and everyone here, even the new mods who're being thrown into the oven on short notice. The hounds are about to be released! 👍

What a long strange trip it's been & we are just getting started. I just bumped my membership to Premium, after all this site have given me so much in return. Well done, Jordan, Mods, & the various GTPlanet members that continue to contribute a wealth of information to this excellent site.
 
As a member for over a year now, and a reader of this website for much longer, I can safely agree that there aren't many places like this on the internet! Fantastic community brought together by a shared passion. Big thanks to Jordan and all the mods! :bowdown:
