A bit disappointed in the BMW Vision Concept?

Very silly. It's a concept car for crying out loud. Did that fly right over your head?

If you can't actually finish the product, then don't start on it in the first place. The original Mercedes VGT had both a description and a sketch of the interior. There are then no excuses for the car to not have any in the game.

Considering that once again it's a concept car, it's pretty complete. They don't have interiors. And the Mercedes having a "description and sketch" is largely irrelevant when it still doesn't have an interior itself. Good job.

I'm not dissapointed, the VGT BMW looks modern, fast, sexy... Yes, I would like some more actual BMW racers (premium E46 GTR anyone? or Group 5 320i? :drool:) but innovation is cool and this car may hold some surprise for us, whether handling wise or in other form. Maybe a racing series version like with the Merc?

Because... they're an exterior design practice. GT-R Proto doesn't have one either and has existed since GT5P. Hell, if you want a quality standard to be consistent, man you are playing the wrong game, lad.

Great arguement. This game is bad, so I should play other games. Well, that's exactly what I do. Sadly, until Project Cars arrive, there aren't any modern racing games on the PS3 or 4 that are worth playing.

Adding more standard cars into the game (or semi-premiums if you like) is a horrible decision. Also, you're saying that the car should only have an interior if the complete car has actually been build (and has an interior)? In that case, I guess the BMW simply shouldn't be in the game, as the car itself hasn't been build. It being a concept does not mean it can't have an interior. Do you honestly think that designers don't have the interior in mind when designing concept cars? The inside of the car is every bit as important as the rest of the visual design.

What exactly is your arguement for why a concept car can't (shouldn't) have an interior? Because it being a concept does not magically exclude it from having an interior. The Toyota FT86 cars are concepts as well, yet they have interiors. In other words, they are feature complete.

I'll say it again. If you can't be consistant in the quality of car models, then don't bother. Having such varied quality decreases the overall value of the game. Imagine if you played an RPG or FPS game. You walk around in a town, and spot two NPC's. One of them is fully detailed, the other is lacking facial textures. Would this be acceptable? Of course not.

On topic car drives very nice , loads of grip from the front and accelerates really well ..

I don't think an interior was even designed for this machine. Judging by the drawings I think BMW (The guys responsible for the car, not PD) didn't put any effort into making an interior for this Bimmer.

Because GTP logic. Demand new content. Get it. Become disappointed & complain endlessly about lack of content. Repeat cycle.
 
When you compare it with the render, yes, it's quite lacking... but overall it's a nice car.
 
Looks like a kickin' drive. I'll get back to ya'll when my damn PS3 decides to install the game at a pace faster than a one legged dog on tranquilizers.
 
Didnt the last BMW come with a standard interior when released? If so we should get it soon.

If I remember correctly, that was a result of the car not having been unveiled yet, and BMW not wanting to show off the interior until it was. This is not the same thing.

I see what OP is trying to say, and i agree with him.

The Vision cars should be over the top dreamy and poster worthy.

In this case, BMW has been restraining themselves compared to what Citroen and MB did, BMW has chosen to take the more down to earth road, and more realist rendition of what a Vision could be...

I haven't downloaded the car, but will tonight, and i am sure it is every bit very good if not better than the MB GT.

But visually and if based purely on the visual, i would say honestly that i am a bit dissapointed as i was expecting the spiritual M1 2019 successor...

So i voted "No" by mistake !

Voted NO by the way. Love the way the car drives... but PD really needed to put an interior in the car.
 
Yeah its not "over the top", this thing looks production ready. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW actually start selling this thing for the track.

Giving the fact that the BMW 1M was such a huge hit with enthusiasts, this VGT model makes a lot of sense.

To further support that, there were pictures of a rendered Mercedes VGT interior, and even then, the in-game version never had, and still does not have, an interior. Why should a car that doesn't even have any evidence of a rendered, or even sketched or designed interior, have one?

I think it is safe to say that VGT cars will not receive an interior, for those released or to be released.
 
I'm glad BMW took the time to make something that looked both awesome and realistic, based on a car from their current line-up, instead of a ridiculous looking wedge with a nine foot high spoiler and 1000bhp. I'm pretty relieved that it doesn't look too much like the render.

This looks like something that could exist in real life, which is both surprising and impressive.

Go check the other BMW cars and tell me it took them 5 months to do? it doesn't even look like a concept car, just a BMW race car. Either BMW or PD was lazy; I actually think it took more time/ressources to do the video than it took to draw the car.
As for that Homer car, not convinced, might actually be more work... (look at that detail! lol)
