Yes and no... :D (sorry)

As a full-price game it represents fairly poor value, but if you can pick up a cheap pre-owned, or do well at an eBay auction it's top notch fun.

I rented mine for a weekend from Choices, reached 100% in a little over 4 hours (I had a break for dinner :D) - but the new cars in it are enough to make it serious fun.

The Abt Audi TT is one of the best cars I've ever driven in a GT game (and I HATE the TT in all other applications), the new NSX-R is quality, as is the road and race version of the NSX-R LM (possibly the best looking GT car ever). The pod race was hilarious and set-off a bit of an OLR flurry.

So if it's cheap enough, get it.

its still $60 new about $35US
it was even more than that and i was about to buy it then i heard it wasnt worth the full price so i got something else
that was i while ago, i gonna go rent it tommorrow then

i was dissapointed when i heard there was no GT mode and i cant do up the cars

Yeah - it's just an Arcade Mode game. No mods, no nothing. But it's certainly worth a rental, if not a budget buy - the new cars are mostly fun. I might pick one up myself if I can find a spare tenner :D

Odd, innit... :D

I think one of the Pleos had a 4 speed, the other had a 7 speed. Wierdest box in the game was on the Prius - it had a single gear - CVT - but the engine revved itself on the line and wouldn't let you get above 3500rpm...!

The honda Jazz in GTC has a CVT, but it revs all the way up to 6000rpm.
I've never tried the Prius or the Pleo, looks like i'll give em a go.

Cobraboy, did you take that photo? And if you did how did you take the photo with out picking up all the TVs pixels? I've got quite a good digital camera, got any tips?

Yep, I just held the camera steady, in a brightly lit room so that the camera would use a fast shutter speed, and thats it basically, point and shoot.

is concept actually worth buying?
i was going to once but heard bad reviews about it

Viper, if you do buy it, make sure you get the 'Tokyo-Geneve' version, it's got heaps more cars in it (AMG SL55, Hyundai RC etc.)

I've got both versions and since I got 'Tokyo-Geneve' it's the only one I ever play.

You can look at the GTC board for more info. Hope this helps.

Cheers, Cobra, I'll have a go at that and tell you what happens.

I had a quick go and the results were better, I could do with increasing the exposure a bit though. I've attached the pic into another message in this forum.

Honda NSX-R LM Road Version

Heh, the NSX-R is quite dreamy in it's looks...

I like the W12 as well...:trouble:

I liked the Pod Race oddly enough as well... That was the weirdest GT race ever...

that is what cvt's are supposed to do... bring you to hte point of maximum power and then comtinuously vary the gear ratio so no matter what speed you are always getting maximum power and torque out of the engine... audi also designed one for the tt but changed it becuase people disliked exactly what you said... people like the revs going up and down... old fashioned since of what sounds powerful... the low revs vroom vroom vroom or one high pitched annoying tone of VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM... like a little girl was sreaming it i guess
