:nervous:Ok so I Popped a Nissan R92CP Race Car '92 from a ticket.

O miles/O Switches

Car view stats 911HP/7500rpm Performance Points 713
Garage View/Standard Tab 911HP/7500rpm Performance Points 754:dopey:

Huh?:dunce:

Same Car Nissan R92CP Race Car '92 from UCD, bought it with 316.8 miles on it. Rebuilt the engine and the chassis. no other modifications.

Car view stats 986HP/7500RPM Performance Points 722
Garage View 986HP/7500RPM Performance Points 722

So is there any explanation for this? It happens on more than just this car..

I love this game but WTF, I also like stats. I mean if this is a Sim of these cars where are these anomalies coming from?

well, maybe the used one from UCD had different downforce set up (front and rear wings) and when you rebuilt the chassis it went back to original set up and you ended up with the same Performance Points....:dopey:

Ok but the performance points on the 0/0 in the two different views? Guess I should test it in online and seasonals.

Mine (4,689 miles with rebuild)

Car view 1079HP - 728pp
Garage view 1079HP - 728pp

I've seen this happen a few times before, and I think it's been mentioned before. Your guess is as good as mine why it occurs.

Before PP was added I noticed HP ratings changed depending on which screen you were checking, though usually only by a couple of horsepower. I haven't noticed too many large PP differences, again only a few points either way. On the other hand I haven't really been checking my cars just to see, and I generally ignore the PP.

Have you tried setting up a lobby with PP restrictions and seeing which value (713 or 754) is the "real" PP value? That would be interesting I think.

I) The 0-mile car difference has the following reason:

When the last patch was introduced, the PP's changed to be independent from tyres. (Actually the PP's were normalized to what they would be with Sports Medium tyres on all cars). So the new PP (712) for a race car will be lower than the old ones (754).

HOWEVER, the garage overview still shows the OLD PP's until you go into settings at least once. Then the garage-overview will show the same PP's as in the settings.

II) The car that was already broken in has more power, and therefore more PP (722).

Simple as that. :sly:

Gonna do that, but just as I typed "Gonna do that" I thought Why? I was thinking I should be able to trust the info the game gives me, but im getting different info depending on the view I use. Oh well just a game.

Did I really expext they could really simulate 1031 cars and variates. Oh well still racing and collecting. I just hope I can import my garage to GT6.

I'm gonna read this again when I'm sober. I'm gonna go with your right at the moment but I may change my mind later. It looked like you made good points but I can't be sure but thanks for the Response.

Also, for what it's worth, I think I've read a similar explanation in another thread.
