i can't drift that good yet but i tried this tonight but couldn't get it and want to see who could:

everyone know where they start you off on Trial Mountain when playing free run? well i want to see some one drift the turn right before that (at the top of the hill)

BUT here is the catch i want to see some one drift the "S" turn right before that and that in on turn. NOT link them by drifting them one after the other but the whole thing in one turn.

(i think some of you here can do that with ease, but i just wanted to see who could).

r u talkin about those 3 consecutive soft corners that end in u comin outta the forest? If so, i'm sure a lot of ppl here can do that. If u check out my vid from my signature it shows it i think. But I have a bigger challenge, one that even CudaMan will have a hard time doing ;). Instead of just drifting the 2nd corner then inertia drifting into the last corner, drift around the 2nd corner, turn that drift into a 360 and drift around the last corner. You understand?

If you check out the vid again, u'll see me drifting (i'm seriously not tryin to advertise my vid :p ) that s-curve on laguna seca by doing a 360 around the downhill corner. Can you do that on those consecutive corners on T.Mtn.? If any1 can do that, and record a vid of it, I tip my hat to you and u earn my well-deserved respect.:)

So do you mean the "S" turn before the right-hander at the top of the hill and not link them? So do you want three separate clips of the drifts? I can do it if you can clarify what you want. I'll try and do it in my Skyline or Supra. What car are you using? Then I can probably help you more. Please specify :)

what i mean is when you reach the "S" turnd drift at one angle and keep the drifft going all the way till the end of the right hand turn at the end (like how some people drift the first two turns in apricot hill

here is what i mean the red square is the car with the black dots on them representing there front.

that is impossible. and if you were to do it. you would have to enter it incorrectly and e-brake almost the whole S. no point :odd:

Well, I guess someone can do it. I'll try it in my Supra, but I'll have to hold the e-brake. That just makes the drift last longer, that's all. There's nothing wrong with holding the e-brake in that situation.

that, i think, is impossible. You can even tell from the pic that u would hafta drift backwards to make it to the last corner. Does everyone see what i'm asking for? I want u to drift the 2nd corner but do a 180 (not by reversing the drift, but by spinning towards the corner and spinning aroudn to meet the last one) and drift the next corner.

There isn't enough space to get a "Drift worthy" car sideways in there, you'd have to just ebrake slide straight through, then turn, otherwise you'll nick something

that seems like a challenge even though it's impossible but I'll try. maybe we have to bump into a wall to initiate this impossible drift:D

That's the impossible drift??? I haven't been logged into GTP for a long time and just saw that pic. That turn is easy. I used to do it all the time. I could even connet the left turn right after it in the same drift. I can't personally make a vid to prove it but if I could send a Sharkport replay to someone and they can make the vid I'd be more than happy to prove it.

Okay, I tried to drift that corner, but it seems like I keep on running into the right wall when I try to hold my drift. If anyone is good with FF, then they may be able to do it or if someone has a wheel, then it may be easier, but it's extremely hard to hold the drift since the tarmac is going uphill and it also has a little bank to it.

Like I said, it's nowhere close to impossible. I do it all the time. It's no great achievement. In fact, if you can't do it shame on you. lol

This is basic drifting people. I find it funny that the GTP "great drifters" are finding this to be difficult. I just restarted my game so I don't have this car anymore, but I used a 180sx that was tuned to about 290hp. I've done this turn on sims and normal tires. I don't use sims anymore but once I do the rally league and get more cash to put into a drift car I'll make a replay of it and I'll post my sharkport file for you all to see.

If you really are really good you should be able to drift from the large left hand turn to the finish line in one continuous drift. And don't say it's impossible either cause I've done it. It seems the majority of you need to upgrades in you drift techniques and styles.

I may be confused, but I think you're talking about is just drifting the three corners without gaining traction..linking them together..and that's not very difficult, but what I think spaceratk's challenge is, is to drift the whole thing like it was one turn (at least that's what the picture looks like). He's saying just drift right through the whole thing with the back end of the car swung out to the left.

I'm not sure. The picture can go either way I think. Drifting it as one turn like that is seems too illogical though. But as long as you guys can drift through there the way I was saying, lol.

But I don't tihnk you can cleanly drift through there so I don't see the point. Drifting is all about control and to get through there you'd be hitting walls and in the grass. Bouncing off walls isn't drifting so I'll say it's impossible.

I'm thinking the only way you'd have a shot of drifting through the whole thing would be with a FF holding the ebrake. But I still think it's impossible.

That's...insane! Will the drift be fast all the way? will it achieve faster times than link drifting or grip driving through it?...interesting indeed.
