HOLY SHEIZA! SO MUCH PEOPLE! Anyway, my sister is watching TV in my room because my parents are watching TV in the room of living. Stupid Housewives of Atlanta. No GT5 for now. :(

Please can anyone help me with my problem now that everything is done?

If your game will not load while your internet connection is turned off(I'm pretty sure you said this is the case) then your problem is not related to internet.

When you try loading with it off you get the failed to connect error and then the game freezes?

My Internet connection is turned on I just changed it to Wired Connection and got my IP address and my DNS address from the comp but none of these worked ..

Try turning it off and see if the game will boot. If it doesn't, then back up your game save to a usb and delete the one on the ps3 and see if you can start a new game.

Well depends on your ISP/modem programming if connected to that. You did say you were connected to the modem and not to a switch/router?

The thing that I read a lot that worked for some people was putting my PS3 in the DMZ put idk how to do that does anyone now how?

Arora I have also tried that and it did not work..

Lock yes I was on wireless now I tried switching to wired but nothing worked just got faster Internet speed

So you can't start a new game with the internet off but you still think the problem has to do with internet?

The game should be playable offline. You have a dirty disc or a bad drive maybe.

Ok. Then it may be the modem's programing (which usually is done by the ISP). For example my comcast modem here won't even connect through a wired connection to my PS3 (not that it matters i run it through a router anyway). Where I used to live the comcast service there the modem wasn't programed like that. Some are programed like that. You may need to contact your ISP for that. Or get a router and run it that way. Or just go back to wireless.

O_o. Didn't realize he said that. If that is still happening with the internet turned off then it is either the PS3/Game disc

I can play offline and I can start a new as well lol I thing there's something u didnt understand

By the way I can play every other game online except GT5

Lock but I got my IP and DNS trough my comp. if I call ISP won't they give me the same numbers?

Same here. Has been for a few days now. Started with a DNS Error but I didn't get the number written down. Have had the ID=1:536 and 2:12 both today.

Oh wow just when I started getting worried :P

The real thing that threw me off was how there were no "scheduled maintenance" posts on the news section on here.

I got this error after coming out of my lounge, wierd thing was that my cursor disappeared too. Quit & reloaded the game, but same thing; can't connect to sever & cursor gone.

Im under the impression they were working on something because after mine stopped getting these errors, it has been moving much faster than it was before and I have slow internet!
