A couple of event mode questions

Just going through the events to earn some cash. Up to last race on B class.

The one race I need to complete requires me to buy a Nissan GTR 07, I go to dealership to buy it but it says I can't buy that car, I have completed and passed all the other races. Now what?

Also for some reason it seems like the cars have way more grip in event mode than on time trial/arcade? Why is that, something I need to turn off?

I can take the highspeed ring reverse in 1.10 in event mode, but in time trial there's way less grip. For example I can take T1 at around 170kph in event mode when I hit the apex right, but in time trial that speed makes me loose grip and under-steer into the guardrails so I have to slow down to about 127kph? Why is there such a difference?

You're using R3s in event but time trial only lets you use up to S2.

Ahh, that would explain it, didn't notice different tires in time trials. Bit annoying to spend lots of time in events and learn how the cars corners at speed, and then have to learn it all over in time trial mode.
