Race A is still mostly B drivers but I’m starting to get more As. So the race is usually just the top 3 or 4 cars. The rest of the field doesn’t factor in.
Those top 3 spots are getting somewhat sweaty now. It’s good racing though. I love it when you’re close quarters with other drivers that know how to race. If there’s a lame duck in the group then it’s usually me!
Alas to say, I’m not so hot when I can’t see in front of me when I’m nose to tail.
I still can’t maintain a lead though. Started on pole twice and P2 once and finished 2nd, 3rd and 3rd.

The fast guys can be too thirsty and try hard

I was taken out in the carnage here, but the chap starting last went P12 to P2 in one corner 😮 (guy ahead of him got 5 second penalty for his efforts in to T1)

That’s the race I was remembering! Absolutely abhorrent behaviour in and all A/S lobby.
One of the real issues in the A and above lobbies is that false sense of confidence at being “good” so they rock up no warm up or being dialled in and just cause havoc.

It's a fun little blast of adrenaline but that first corner on lap 1 sure does have the visual appeal of a lane for bowling

Nice one mate. Will concede immediately as not in the mood for anything today. My favorite, oldest fish died a few hours ago. Loved him so much he had his own tank on my desk so he's always next to me. Haven't been this down in a very long time.

So today , I had my only and most fun Daily Race C at Deep Forest reverse in a C rated lobby in the Evening. Managed to finish overall in the race, a strong 2nd place and had some great battling on the last lap. The NSX GT3 was a quick, well handling, solid contender today!

Do wish there was a way to properly punish those who swerve over to block you passing just as they finish serving a penalty. Especially somewhere like the back straight at Bathurst, it's so common! It looks like they are going to have basic racecraft and accept the lost position but no, swerve at last second forcing you onto the grass to avoid.

Managed a 1/10th improvement to round out Sundays racing. It’s currently good enough for 109 but my optimum got very close to a .6
The braking oversteer it’s really hard to judge if you try to trail brake and there’s a corner in VR I can’t quite position the car how I want as it’s always trading speed for angle and without being able to see actual speed consistency or a target MPH is difficult.

First Sunday in like ever that I haven’t raced, not been my best week but could have been worse 😁 busy with all things kids and their football

Overall for me I’ve enjoyed both the race and having DR on for it, hasn’t stopped me moaning but it’s been an enjoyable combo.
Also you really should just send it when we race if you wanna go by rather than let me hold you up!!!
Cracking race this week, I’ve enjoyed 90% them and left with a huge smile, the odd race was a bit meh especially early in the week or when my VR couldn’t track the play space so you have to recalibrate it which isn’t always at an ideal time!
Absolutely monster time mate, I be you wish you’d have done that time earlier in the week!!!
One of my best races of the week was following (at a gradually increasing distance 🤣) Dreamcatcher and Tempo going at it hammer and tongs, was very happy to finish third in that one. Initially it was like following one of the top ghosts so I was quicker than normal in race, but unfortunately they didn’t reset at the split points!
Have had many poles this week but only managed to convert one. Starting on the front row today the most likely outcome seems to be getting punted into the gravel at T1.

I know what you mean with DC, Ben and Tempo at the sharp end. I haven’t done VR recordings of those as they were intense and I promptly forgot.
But here is my last race chasing DC and I think I could have got him but a last lap pen scuppered that but immensely fun race this one and at least the top 5 survived T1 (but it’s a strong A and above lobby so the car control is quite high along with the tolerance and space)

Most annoying, was on course for a 26.4 and took it too easy in the last corner - watching the tenths slip away 😭
You're never holding me up! 😀 I always worry about messing up and letting those ones close behind through too.
I changed liveries and won two in a row from pole 😎 weirdly none of the super aliens were in these two races.
Off to bed now as I'm up at 0500, hopefully some entertaining races next week...

Another solid race on Daily Race C for the last of day of daily races!!!
My first intial race ended in angry turmoil as a vile and nasty british guy in a v12 vantage, just went and punted me off on the hairpin and then did it a 2nd time on the exit tunnel. He got a 8sec penatly but then rage quite and ran off like a coward. Nasty work, his slander and rudeness in the game chat of the race was not good. He's been reported for his unsavoury actions.
The positive race I did have, started well and early on got good pace, I had me a crash on lap 2 after the winner of this race, french guy, (typical) funnily enough punted me but didnt wait up, after being bumped, I pushed back and I recovered to finish 6th overall in the Porsche 911 RSR!!
