A couple of questions

Firstly, sorry for posting many question at once.

My first post was in May (update issue), when I received my ordered copy of GT6 AE, and it was only resolved about a month ago, when I used a fixed line to update to version 1.12.It took a whole week. I restarted so many times on version 1, I eventually taught myself to manually shift, and definetly has it's perks.👍

I'm not totally new, having had GT2 and by accident playing GT5, which ignited ye'old petrolhead flame.

I have thus had the oppertunity to play online and follow the GT6 forum religiosly.

I recently came 587th in the Monza Super Lap, currently busy with the Nissan GT seasonal.

Here goes:

1. I lost all my AE cars due to moving some to the stockyard. I have tried re-downloading them but to no avail. Is there any other way to retrieve the vehicles?

2. Is the stockyard working, properly?

3. Any other links to LSD workings and Braking setups?

4. What is the correct sequence of tuning, if any? Currently I go body, brakes, suspension, power, LSD, transmission. Is it adviseable to do the pit service first. I only do oil changes after 300km.

5. A link to the tracks and correct racing lines?

6. DS3 setups? Any nice links to follow?

7. What would be a nice entry level wheel to purchase. (If the above question does not work out )

I can only answer a few questions:

The best entry level wheel for GT6 is the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT) - get a wheel as it will transform your enjoyment of the game and massively increase your immersion and sense of realism - it is best to get a wheel before you get good with a DS3 as some people find it difficult / frustrating to make the transition. A wheel brings the game to life. Don't bother with anything cheaper than a Logitech DFGT - the cheaper wheels are a waste of money as they don't have Force Feedback. Don't forget to budget for a good stand (e.g. Wheelstand Pro) or if you have space a rig onto which to mount your wheel. If you are concerned about PS4 / GT7 compatibility and have the money get a Thrustmaster wheel, the T300RS works with GT6 and will also work on the PS4 with GT7 when it is released. There is lots of information on wheels and other hardware in the sim racing hardware section.

I am not a tuner - I normally rely on tunes by Praiano 63, Motor City Hami or other excellent tuners on GT Planet. I find it is very easy to mess the car up and make it lap slower - you may think your changes have made the car faster, but that is normally just practise - if you go back to the original setup you will often find you are faster again! Motor City Hami has written a tuning guide - I don't have a link, but you can search for it using the search function. Praiano has written a guide on gearing so check out his tuning thread also.

In GT5 the most critical thing in determining a cars behaviour was the LSD and I expect it is the same in GT6 - Motor City Hami gives full guidance on the LSD and all aspects of tuning.

I don't use the stockyard as I don't have a lot of cars, but I know some people have had problems with it, which is why I avoid it.

For advice on racing lines / tracks search for posts by Tidgney - he is a very good driver and has made video guides.

Don't forget online - the game is 1% - online is the remaining 99% in my opinion. Don't bother with Quick Match or random online - too many dirty players. Look at the online racing section and clubs section of this site and find some good groups of people to race with - like a wheel, it will transform your enjoyment of the game.

For questions 3 and 4 I would suggest @Motor City Hami's tuning guide and @DolHaus's General Tuning Guide. Both of them have very good tips and advice in them but they also have different points. There technically is no correct method to tuning, everyone likes to tune a different way. One thing I was told once, there is no perfect settings so be prepared to adjust more than one setting when making changes.

Your first question the only way I think you can get the AE cars back is to start a new game, to your second question the
stockyard glitch has been fix.

Hi guys, thanks a million I appreciate the replies, thanks for the info!

@Sick Cylinder Wheel ordered today, costs around £100 (R1400 South-African Rands), can't wait! Hopefully it will arrive next week.

Quick matches are a mess, I'll check out the forum, maybe setup a South-African club!

I don't want to do the Senna Lotus Brands Hatch TT again, only golded it last night, been trying since 25/9. The Goodwood and Redbull X Challenge with the Fan Car was easier!
