I'm another that will say don't give up on the Italia... I have two tunes saved in my faves list:

I also use the DS3, so hopefully one of these will be to your liking.

Happy Canada Day and have a good one!

Thanks for the advice and tunes. The first one works great for me! I think a big part of the problem was traction control. I always had it on, but when it's off, the car handling is more to my liking.

Hey FishHunters, I wouldn't go so far as saying a "problem with the driver", I would say it's my lack of fanaticism for the game.

I'm another one on the 458 bandwagon.👍 It's original settings did fine for me fully tuned with racing mediums.I haven't needed or wanted to try anything else,I love my champagne coloured 458.:dopey::)

Everyone says 430 Scud, but I raced it in a series that required ballast weight and had the hardest time getting a tune. Of course I was much worse at tuning back then, didn't quite grasp ballast placement. Still, 458 IMO blows it out of the water. 430 understeered like a boat even tuned whereas the 458 is as twitchy as I need it to be. I've raced both in series and the 458 is really fun. Especially since I'm a realist and this model offers paddles (if it didn't I'd restrict myself to the appropriate shift, probably sequential b/c of 7 gears).

For me, the Scud has proved to be the sweetest handler, but overall, far from the quickest. I threw all the bits on one and a bit of neg camber and let rip. Went a bit mad yesterday and earned 15 mil off La Sarthe! Some of that was with the Enzo, which is overall faster, but trickier on the limit.

No love for the 599? It's my favorite car.

I like it, but it requires kid gloves 👍 Did Sarthe ok but not as well or as easily as the 458 or Enzo. Ran that race with all my Ferraris except the 512BB

512BB doesn't stand a chance.

The 512bb certainly does stand a chance! There are 1 or 2 on these boards who have done it and I'm about 2-3 secs off the gold time myself after only 3-4 tries...I've managed to win clean with 8 different cars and I intend on making the 512bb no.9...I'm not sure if I want to shell out c20,000,000 for the 330 RC though.
I've only put a wing on the Enzo and never fully tuned that one. It still wins in a walk.Another thing is I only set my top speed to between 224-236mph. You don't need to crank it up.Only my Enzo tops 225mph on the straights.

Its a tossup between the 458 and the Enzo.
The 458 is a beast. Its fast, light, very very fast around a track and extremely easy to drive. Its an all around excellent car, one of the best.
But, because its so easy to go fast, anyone can take the 458 win.
the Enzo, though Im not a big fan, is a drivers car. Its stupid fast, not the best handling, but it is an exhilarating machine and very rewarding.
Purchased it early on in the game, tuned it and was disappointed. But at the latest seasonal, I cracked out the enzo and enjoyed the hell out of it.

I own all the Ferrari except the F2007. The 512bb is very very fun.

The single best Ferraris in the game are the SP1 and the Scud. Simply buy the cars then use these tuning setups. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=136731
I have never used anyone elses tunes before but these brought the cars alive and made them something else. The SP1 tune had me battering the Enzos to death in the Ferrari seasonals. I beg you all to try the SP1 and the Scud with these tunes. I challenge you to tell me it doesnt make them 2 of the BEST cars in the game.

I've asked this in a other thread (la vesta cavaliero..., -i probably miss-spelled the name-).
But the 512BB has a orange light on the rev.counter (i use cockpit cam!). What is it, contact on?, or seatbelts warning? If you know what it is please let us know. Sofar it's been figured out what it doesn't, but the person who tells what the orange light means (and tells us) gets a car ticket.
And i can't decide (yet) what to buy: the Ferrari 330 racecar ('66?) or the Ford racecar (also from the 60's) perhaps the Lambo or Alfa ? (the expensive oldtimers)
The Ford can't be won by ticket or race (right?) the Ferrari has a ticket, the Lambo, Alfa & Jag (oeps almost forgot the XJ13) can be won (sadly in b-spec.., but what a price!)
I'm not want to do birthday 'cheat' so then the Ford seems to make most sence, yet the Ferrari (& the others) are more to my liking (just my taste), i hear good things about the Ferrari too.
So any suggestions ? Thanks in advance.
Greetings stano(can't decide)666 :)

I, like you, don't dupe and eventually got the Ferrari Race car and the Ford IV. The ford '67 race car is truly amazing, worth every bit of the 20million i paid. That's the bad boy for you. I'm gonna take a look at the SP1 tonight from the previous post.

I go for Miura, in the end i want all (premium)oldtimers -LOL- the expensive ones first. But right now the Lambo seasonal event decided for me.
Thanks very much anyway & see you laters.
You'll probably overtake me but i couldn't care less, because i've got an 'ear to ear' smile on my face, when i'm in my oldtimer(race)car :)

I favor the 430 Scuderia over the 458. It feels less... sterile to me for some reason. Both are brilliant cars though

I found the Scud a easy'er drive too. Nicest handling Ferrari i've used in GT5 (and i've got the: 512BB, 2 Calafornia's, 599, 458 & Enzo sofar)

if you are understeering do you have the traction control whacked up? turn it off and upgrade your tyres to sport softs and its a treat

Body colored wing is available on the Enzo. 2 of them are available if you buy the car in Nero. Both wings cost an astonishing 50,000 credits. Sadly, the car without the aftermarket wing to me feels unstable.

The car is really more unstable when you start doing the weight reductions.. I forgot all about the wings... I was adding weight to the car and shifting it.. it helped a little but still a little unstable... gotta remember don't turn the wheel when breaking or that's it!

Give the 458 another shot. Don't try too hard, just feel the car and you will dominate. Hit a 7:17.xxx on the 'Ring with a stock 458 on ss tires w/ no aids but ABS 1 and on a DS3. Car is damn near perfect.
